since last week i got an equiped ilvl of 410. despite doing the first boss in a random grp I’ve not done anything in mythic bod…
if you want to be accurate then state :
this minset brought them 12 milion active subs but costed them over 100 mln players who no longer played game at that point in time - which was stated officialy by blizzard.
so who knows - if faster leveling and lfr was in game back then in TBC/Wolk potentialy they could have had 20 mln subs - we will never know.

This is the fifth week/reset and we predicted it would take a few weeks at tops before overgearing would be a problem again
Overgearing is not a problem imo.
Gearing too fast is.
But I aim to overgear the content I do.

And yet you only have 2 TF items equipped, which once again proves that TF is not to blame for inflated ILVLs (it was in Legion sure, but as the system is in BfA; it’s definitely not).
Why bother if some lowbies are getting high ilvl items? they won’t outdps you nor kill you in pvp though. Jealousy? we’re over it ^^

We know very well that introducing them didn’t make more people come than those who left. There is no big unknown here.

This exactly the problem, you only feel done when overgeared. So you do LFR tops but need that 388 (considering 3 IL 400 pieces from Ivus) to feel done? This is the problem, TF should exist at all, or be topped at +15 to not complety destroy next tier.

No forging/Limited warforge of +6: Person is 403 but you know he had to get that high Il due to high end PvP, some mythic raiding or high M+ keys. Inviting this person is a very tiny chance he sucks due to boosting.
Forging in general atm: Well that 403 guy could be boosted, legit or just got lucky with WF/TF. I don’t know if he will be able to do HC BoD…
Problem: IL doesn’t tell anything about people anymore.
Solution: Raiderio
Said people who got overinflated gear for what they did: Omg elitist are destroying the pug scene!
Edit: Added the response to this and added a title in.

In general I wouldn’t say that’s true.
I personally play that way, but that’s how I play any game that has gearing.

I don’t care much about the actual numbers. I just want to keep getting upgrades because that is fun. Not to be done, being done isn’t fun in an mmorpg; it’s boring.

Nice hyperbole you have there. It doesn’t ‘destroy’ the next tier at all.
The next tier is there, all safe and sound. Because TF doesn’t happen much.
Its influence is almost neglible (it wasn’t that way in Legion, but in BfA it is).
So nerfing it to the point of being useless is the same as removing it; it’s not a solution. It’s a hyperbole reaction to non-existent hyperbole symptoms.
Why can’t some people look at the system with common sense? It’s not that hard.
You don’t have to blame any- and everything on something you personally dislike.
