[To Blizzard] Make World of WARcraft Great Again

Dear Blizzard,

Our usual adopted elf is probably throwing dices in the durnogal tavern and yelling on dwarves and humans and spitting his elvish beer on them or simply launching another BG3 game so I’ll take the relay.

I am, and probably many of players, are sick of the Hello Kitty Adventure Online mood you created in the game.

World of Warcraft is not like In Real Life or a cool’n’flashy fornite game. The game initialy started about bunch of angry orcs smashing and kill humans and vice versa.

It’s not wrong to add some nice and fun thing in the game, back in the days in 2005 you can also find fun think like the raimbow toy (wasnt a “toy” as today but we could use as a toy). But extrem flashyness, colorness and rainbows and others stuff with abuse made now the game depressing comparing to what WoW was and still should be.

Yes as we did in Vanilla, TBC, WOTLK, Cataclysm, MoP, WoD, Legion, BFA and we were in WAR because its world of WARcraft

No Timmy, even in battlegrounds there is crossfaction and this is madness and no sens.

by the past BGs without crossfaction you could think you re like in a war field fighting for killing the enemy.

No you can be an orc and fighting with nightelves, HUMANS ??? against other orcs, blood elves or Tauren. Like for what ?

Why an orc wanted to be in a army force composed by night elves, humans etc for fight against taurens, orcs, blood elves etc??

We want war, wake up !

Bring back meaning in your own world of WARcraft game.

  • stop same shared crossfaction questline. We pay you expansion and subs ; you have billions of dollars, you have enough money to pay devs and storymakers.

  • Stop crossfaction feature, with interserver guild system this feature is no more necessary. (the crossfaction was introduced to parry the lack of players not for the story)

Dear Blizzard, as a fanatic blood elf I can make compromise.

I can share our beautiful city with alliance high elves and even these voidelves abominations (if these smurfs are not allowed to enter in the sunwell of course - compromise is not madness kek) if they leave the alliance and if we leave the horde and make the quel’dorei GREAT AGAIN as a third faction.

BUT

WE NEED WAR

I want to charge alliance inside my mind like “FOR THE HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOARDE” knowing that my enemy player is also saying “FOR THE AAAAAAAAAAAALLIANCE !!!”

STOP MAKE WORLD OF WARCRAFT LIKE HELLO KITTY ADVENTURE ONLINE OR ANIMAL CROSSING.

The graphics don’t have enough contrast, the lighting isn’t good enough, and there’s not enough WAAAAAGH!! - aka funny, overt-the-top, violent madness. xD

That’s the problems summed up in a nutshell.

Luckily for me, Warhammer solves all those problems, so I just get my fix from that instead now. Kindda sucks that Warcraft can’t be what it used to be though.

The 20th anniversary event was awful, all those npcs talking about friendship, being open and tolerant just ughh…

Or the night elves, once a proud and mighty race holding hands with orcs or horde in general in they new home because the horde burned they old tree to ashes.
Or all the elves who lost their lives in Ashenvale before that.

But hey! Sh1t happens right? Were are friends now!

I would love to see Blizz change back in terms of Story or go back to more Alliance vs Horde focus but with the current writers or whoever is in charge for the Story since Shadowlands i have zero hope.

Even when they change, with all this crossfaction, power of friendship crap i don’t think that this “faction pride” will come back.

There’s nothing in the pipeline for at least the next 5 years that is going to move the game in the direction you’re asking for – at all.

Blizzard have laid out where this World Soul saga is going to take us.

And I would wager they’ve sown the seeds for the time after as well. And there’s little war in that either.

Do with that as you will.

My message will be off-topic, but not only we need Warcraft, we also need World! Looking at WoW from other games perspective, its always looks so lame that whole game is happening only in latest expansion’s locations.

Sure, you can cope with “If you want, you always can play and explore old locations/content” - but its simply singleplayer with abandoned mechanics at this point.

RP somehow is kinda populating old world, but whole RP immersion can be easily shattered by things like 2 copies of Dalaran-city while in latest lore its destroyed, or by locations that in constant “action” state, while in lore main evil is defeated.

We need more badass stuff for sure, I really miss it.

I feel that we need characters that are really badass & has the same hype as someone like Arthas, Illidan & Garrosh (Doubt we’ll ever get someone like that again :frowning: ). Remember when we got that Hello Kitty stuff from the end-cinematic in Amirdrassil after killing Fyrakk? Yeah… I don’t want that & I bet the many others don’t want that either lmao.

I did not play Warhammer Online because, at the time, World of Warcraft was very good.

However I do play Total War: Warhammer 3. I do like the Greenskins but in terms of gameplay I am more fond of Cathay and Lizardmen. I also really want to get into Drycha and Skaven but I’m finding their mechanics a bit tricky.

What I meant to say, and think I did, is that Warcraft has lost this darkness that used to dominate it, and it’s very noticeable in a very bad way. Feels like we’re going through our version of Game of Thrones season 8 - or maybe that’s me being too kind.

World of Warcraft has lost its charm, in my opinion, because it has become too bright and overly colorful.
I’m okay with progress, but every piece of art has a fundamental essence. If you take that away, it’s no longer the same thing.

To me, BfA proved beyond all reasonable doubt that the faction warfare narratives have had their time in the sun. Even before we dove into the shenanigans of naga and Black Empire stuff, the actual faction war of that expansion just felt forced and superficial.

So to me, it’s a hard pass. Give us an Arathi empire to wage war against or something. Something with stakes, preferably, because faction wars don’t actually move the narrative needle in any way worthy of note.

No thanks. Ill insta quit if they do that. I am in a small tight knit guild that is about even in horde and alliance and stopping x faction would destroy it.

Blizzard, please go all the way and make lfd x faction for non 5 mans as well.

They should just give us an actual war with some other factions not just a 10 minute skirmish what they did with the nerubian empire lol. I wouldn’t mind if they brought back the separated leveling experience with faction quests either. However, I do like cross faction raiding and dungeon runs.

Last minute Drastic narrative changes aren’t unknown in WoW.

It’s even visible in TWW, where the story needed to be suddenly changed to include Xal’atath.

Whilst I appreciate the ability to group with my opposing faction friends in keys had been a great addition to the game. The storylines around it, and ever since the “friendship” arch has some along as made the narrative incredibly boring.

Part of the enjoyment of playing a game like World of Warcraft is being part of the overall narrative. There are a lot of players who simply doesn’t enjoy the direction the narrative is going in, and would like World of Warcraft to feel like World of Warcraft again.
