no you don’t xd LIAARRRR
you have no idea what i spend my time doing.
can only take my word for it
or not… doesnt matter to me.
Goodbye OP. May your soul find the perfect arfterlife in the shadowlands!
if my soul ended up in the shadowlands…
i would want a refund.
HAHAHHAHAHAHA.
but i meant that in lore the shadowlands are almost infinite of lands (Games) and that the OP that dosn’t come back (Soul leaves body) goes to any afterlife!
I definitely think that the way WoW handles questing and storytelling is overly simplistic and outdated compared to other games.
I also think it’s fair to say that the newcomer experience is not very elegantly put together.
And the game can certainly start to feel like a hamster wheel of constantly repeating mundane activities if you play it long enough.
Fair points of critique, I think. To each his own on whether it outweighs the enjoyment of the game.
Maw dailys for eternity for even concidering a refund!
Honestly, the Maw will be a meme untill WoW gets deleted and even after that
i dunno my IRL job…
feels a bit like Maw dailies at times.
tbh, if the jailer was since the start like this:
and in the end didn’t pull up the “I was good guy all along” and actually just wanted to have the entire universe to serve him, then it could have been a better villan!
Sounds like fun
did that actually happen ?
reminds of that time in primary school
we had romans Vrs Pirates day…
and at playtime… there was a kid who kept switching sides because he didnt want to die…
we would stab him with a pirate sword and he’d be like “BUT IM A PIRATE SPPPYYYYYY”
what im saying is… my 5 year old primary school friend who was spoilt by his mum and dad… came up with the story line to shadowlands.
To much Thanos in this one.
He actually looks like a complete bad villain boy in this picture, kinda cool if you don’t know his story
Stab him double.
He a snitch.
We don’t like snitches
I’m sorry to see you go. I hope you find equal enjoyment in other games.
I do disagree with you about some things.
“Financially WoW is a huge failure.” Um. Failure is one of those relative words. WoW is still the tentpole of Blizzard’s earnings, and I’d love to own a failure of that size. WoW is declining, and Shadowlands was a disaster, but WoW is still what keeps the lights on at Blizzard Central. Consoder this, from the Q2 report: “World of Warcraft net bookings declined versus a year-ago quarter that included the launch of Burning Crusade Classic, offsetting year-over-year growth for Hearthstone and the contribution from the June launch of Diablo Immortal.”
So the dip in WoW offset more that the whole launch of Diablo Immortal, which was apparently a lot better received than the announcement screw-up would lead you to expect. Yeah, WoW did badly, and yes it’s a failure by its own previous standards, but it’s still a Big Beast. According to random link Ijust googled https://mmo-population.com/top/2022 it still tops the list when you add Retail and Classic together.
Now, fo your criticisms:
There are different - heavily overlapping but different - segments of the playerbase who are here for different areas of the content in different measures. I would LOVE to be able to get solid numbers on this, but we can only estimate from achievements and the occasional vague reference from Blizzard. However, it is entirely clear that there are segments that are here almost entirely for Arena, or for Raiding, or for M+, or for casual BGs. and a huge cohort who want only World content.
Three of your five complaints are heavily focused on story, and I think story is not a dealbreaker for a significant portion of the playerbase. Certainly, I can understand why someone to whom story is critical would give up. Shadowlands storytelling, pacing, dialogue, and characterisation was appalling,
I don’t see this improving in Dragonflight. Danuser shows all the signs of someone who was handed a property he didn’t earn, doesn’t understand, probably doesn’t really like, and wants to yank his own direction to put his stamp on it. Far too much of that going on these days.
So yeah, if story is that critical to you, I see why you’re off. But I don’t think too many are following for that reason alone.
I’m not sure I understand what you mean with your point about new content per season, and so I’m not sure I agree with it, exactly. I do agree that more frequent new content would make a huge difference - see the effect of the famous 11-week cycle in Legion.
Your suggestion about the new player experience is one reasonable addition that I do agree with, and it seems it should be an easy ask and a no-brainer. Also, they could work on their scaling. (And I do love “Collectors will gladly farm it and never use it.” )
Anyway, whatever our differences in emphasis here, I really will miss seeing you here as a reliable poster.
you said here multiple times you don’t play and haven’t for long time xd
liar xd
See you in Dragon Flight
That’s really not the best idea Robo
Cya on launch day
What? I missed the flight? Damn it.
