It’s almost like… almost like it’s a 20 year old game in an era where new games of all genre come out pretty much every single day. It’s totally normal. Plus people who originally played WoW are now pretty much in their 30s or even 40s… priorities and free time changed.

WoW is running because blizzard don’t want to deal with stopping it quite yet, they will let it die through becoming unpopular and then kill it, anything else is bad press.
These posts about people leaving remind me of when I used to work in retail and customers would say “I am never shopping here again” as if they think their opinion will reach anyone relevant, or indeed matters. The lifetime of this game is already well planned out, they probably even have a predicted date that numbers go low enough to shut it down.
