Too many healer keybinds

How would you remove the button bloat from healers (I disagree it exists), without nerfing our toolkit to deal with various damage patterns and situations?
Most spells we got throughout DF were the result of complaints such as “we don’t have reliable burst group heal, or absorb”.

There is plenty of options, by condensing 2 into 1, making some effects like the usual bounce on the second target a passive and buffing “fillers ones”

Last time i played healer was in shadowlands and i think that was a good middle ground with abilities for them
i had enough place on my bars for important spells
I tried holy pala and amount of CDs you have to put on your bar is so annoying that i rather not play it
good ol’ days just pressing holy shock in BFA

I don’t even utilize every action bar in the game (half of them are disabled in the game settings). I don’t understand how you guys can run out of space on them…

It probably depends on the content you’re doing.

Idk, Mythic up to +20 at times, if I feel motivated to grind?

We use our whole toolkit?

Doesnt the default game has like 6 actionbars with 12 spots? Yeah we do not have 72 abilities

i would actually start to heal if it was like this ^

It becomes really boring really fast. Obviously I’m cherry picking a bit with this fight

i believe you.
but i am leveling a pala on Pyrewood Village Classic Era just to do this boring thing.
sometimes less is more

Idk. Healers all wanted an interrupt. Most of us got one. Now DPS can’t be bothered :dracthyr_shrug:

Can’t say I’ve seen that in a difficulty that matters but then again my class is the only one with no interrupts

you can still make your life easier by using addons like clique for mouseover healing on party members and i have a razer naga mouse which gives me 12 extra button my thumb side .
that has enabled me to react quickly to situations.

Ughh,to be fair, I am not a huge fan of Paladins and melee classes overal.

Agree with Evoker, but it is a decent middle ground. What about Druid? Haven’t try it this expansion

The main problem is that you need heal + damage

some things that could help
1)simpler damage rotations on healer, there usually 4+ dps skills to use, that is too much to bind along healing rotation
2)dual use skills that heal allies and damage enemies, there are some examples, more needed, for example chain heal vs chain lightning choice node in tree with chain heal damaging nearby enemies or healing more targets at a further node.
3)reduce skills that do the same, for example the usual slow slightly more mana efficent heal vs faster heal, it was useful in old wow, but now there are enough skills for diversity.
4)consolidate skills to remove magic, curse, poison etc.
5)remove or combine utility skills
6)remove boring buffs like PI

I remember healing in Vanilla… renew, flash heal, renew, flash heal… then the beam jumping on 5 players, the light well, renew, flash heal, renew…:sweat_smile::sweat_smile: I was very good as a healer back then.

4 damage abilities is too many, why exactly? I think that is a rather good number.
Flame shock, lava burst, lighting, chainlighting
Tiger palm, blackout kick, rising sun kick, spinning crane kick

Not really rocket science.

/cast [@mouseover, exists] riptide; flame shock
Only 1 bind.

I read that like that “you guys are getting paid?” meme.

its fine if you main, but it doesnt invite new people starting and personally, i dislike one button having 2 casts, better would be ability that does 2 things
