Worst was BFA because pvpers got robbed. Still can’t believe there was no pvp vendor whole xpac, just pve grind. I didn’t play most of it thankfully.

So yes, imo, both WoD and BFA were better than SL. WoD was the last time I was able to enjoy even casual PvP and PvP has gotten worse every expansion since to the degree I don’t touch it however I was not a fan of the pruning and what not so I stopped enjoying raiding then and dungeons. MoP dungeons I wasn’t a fan of, still enjoyed the raids and I enjoyed a lot of casual PvP and it was the first expansion I disliked rated PvP.

Cataclysm is hard to say if it’s my favorite for PvP or second, it was a very good expansion for PvP either way and dungeons. I loved doing heroics in cataclysm and it was the last time I enjoyed those. Wrath I enjoyed really everything, and same for BC.

If Vanilla cannot be used as an expansion, since it wasn’t an actual expansion, next is MoP.

As someone who likes original warcraft and puts RPG before mmo:

  1. TBC
  2. Shadowlands
  3. That’s a tricky one. I am not fond of BfA’s lore, but systems from Legion hadn’t yet degenerated into their Shadowlands form. And objectively speaking, it tried to give some content to casual and original RTS audience (warfronts). It also had gear and loot. Cata it is then.

Exactly my feelings.

One thing I hated in BfA is that they separate two continents. I get used to it, we still had connected zones and BfA zones had a soul.

In Shadowlands well… First I don’t like to waste FIVE minutesfor going from one zone to each other (yeah it can take 5 whole minutes depending on your A & B points…) but I aslo feel nothing.

Revendreth is cool, Bastion and Ardenwald are beautiful but… I feel nothing. Am I dead ? X)

I have quite a simple way to rank expansions - did I rage quit? If I did rage quit, how far into the expansion was it? By that metric:-

3rd Worst: WoD, made it all the way to the second patch before abandoning it until Legion pre-patch.

2nd worst: BfA, managing to stay subscribed for a full month and a half before putting it down and returning in the SL pre-patch.

Worst: Cata, didn’t even cap.

I don’t really understand all the hate SL gets tbh - I’ve been having fun. The dungeons are fairly varied and most have interesting mechanics, nathria isn’t the best raid but it’s definitely not the worst I’ve done. I guess for the more casual playerbase a tigher patch schedule and more tertiary content would probably have been welcome.

So , 75 reply’s , of which 38 have casted a vote ( as far as my eyes can see ), of which Shadowlands have been found on 25 of the 38 casted votes.

I didn’t count BfA but … I think it takes the lead, followed by Shadowlands and I guess WoD being the 3rd.

I had lots of fun in cataclysm pvp was fun and i loved dungeons especially before crybabies ruined them with their whining that they were too hard.
I also liked the raids.
