Ah, I think that’s what I’ve read.
That’s not the rule of cool, or something that seems fitting in the narrative.
There’s a healthy middle ground between “real world physics” and “suspending disbelief to allow for magic/warriors carrying swords twice their body weight.”
I think think if getting massively bogged down in the gritty realistic science of medieval warfare is your thing, that’s cool. Whatever. Just as long as you don’t expect others to follow that same river.
explain how with real world physics a planet provides life after its core being penetrated by a massive swords and iirc having 2 moons.
Explain how the planet has a soul
I will after you explained what i want explained./’
Also… how did you leave the thalmor embassy again?
Why of course, the same way it has magic flowing through it, has somehow provided equal chance for numerous high-intellect species instead of just one (like, y’know, the only planet we know IRL that has) and how it has multiple elemental pocket dimensions inside of it!
The explanation to all of those, is that the world of Azeroth functions 100% on real world physics.
it does, doesn’t it, let me conjure some coffee.
That sensation is both amazing, and a huge bi-atch.
Manifest some desserts for me out of thin air, while you’re at it.
a stack of vanilla rice pudding coming up.
please make sure atleast one of your bags are empty.
Don’t worry, I can fit a whole Red Drake in there, I’m sure it will be fine.
Plate bikini are great
I know you are doing this for the sake of meme, but most of your examples are taking magic into consideration, whose definition is that it causes things that normally wouldn’t happen.
The idea that the adventurer’s bags are accurate or are representative of Azeroth’s physics is wrong, it’s just an abstraction as with many other elements of the game. And there is one pandaren quest which even mocks the idea that bags would contain kegs of beer in MoP. I’m sure we’d get other references around.
Probably the healthiest way of going about it isn’t to tell other people what they can and what they can’t do in combat RP, but simply react to what is happening.
The virgin /e shoots you point blank the in face
vs
The chad /e your gun jams
I agree with this one. People will inevitably have divergent opinions about what can or can’t be done and the line isn’t clear cut.
Provided, of course, people’s characters have somewhat reasonable power levels.
asically yeah, if the game shows something to be possible, hell, has an entire class showing that it’s possible, arguing things becomes a tad pointless.
Go with the flow, if things become truly wacky Chieun’s thing of “the presence of an apple kills u”, then by all means just disengage that RPer because it’s a waste of everyone’s time.
Bit of a controversial one but here we go;
People who say fun > lore.
S o n, lore -is- fun. The history of this game is enjoyable, knowing how things like magic functions is entertaining.
Learn lore, don’t be that one idiot who needs everything explained to them and then cries when they get it wrong and people reprimand you.
Your OOC name sickens me, so I have to disagree on principle.
Anveena Teague.
Way back in Classic, Rogues were described as using “minor mysticism” in the character creator.
I’ve stuck to that as explanation ever since, and given that things like Shadowstep, Shadow Dance, and the reworked Subtlety spec has been added since, I think it’s pretty evident that Rogues use Shadow now, some more than others.
