Torghast experience (HAVOC)

Hey guys, need some advice:

So this week i can access torghast lvl 5.

I did it easily as a vengeance DH (it was an absolute joke), but i can barely even make it past the first floor boss as Havoc. I mean, burst aoe damage vs non-elite mobs is cool, but when it comes to the floor 1 boss, i get shredded in 7 hits after all of my cooldowns have been used, and i get the boss down to around 20% . I even got the burning wounds legendary hoping it would help but no. After 6 attempts I’ve only managed to get past floor 1 boss once (barely, had literally 230hp and boss missed the last attack).

How is it that it is so easy as a tank, but so damn hard as havoc DH. Or is havoc really that bad in terms of PVE solo damage and survivability?

I cleared all today, wasn’t that hard, 179 il. Get some defensive powers, i go for a ratio of 50% of each.

I got 5 done but 6…that worm boss is a big nope. I couldnt do it as havoc nor vengeance.

I just killed the worm. I lvl 192. What a fking pain in the a!#. DH is absolutely horrible for bosses in Torghast, once the enrage amps up we just get 2-shot. We need the dodge back.

And why tf did they nerf our Disrupt/Kick trait from doing 10% HP dmg to 2% ? What a joke

i dont understand that either, at 10% and also capped it was a good offensive anima talent, now its a dead one, not even 5% 2% why ??? it wasnt even broken it was among the okay ones.

Paladin kills boss in stun but us doing 10% dmg every 15 sec is too much.

I get your point. You really need to be lucky with your anima powers.

Also they are nerfing the few strong anima powers we got (the interrupt one for example) so … thats that.

I havent been able to do the worm. After the enrage happens i just cant keep myself alive from the hits. I’m gonna have to party up and switch to vengeance to get it done :frowning:

Mage oneshots bosses while I struggle to finish it with ilvl 195

Blizzards fav children…mage, rogue and warlock. Rest can just settle for scraps Well ill add hunter to that list as well…they always seem to be doing good.

so there goes my money… makes me wanna claim not meeting EULA and full refund, utterly disgusting balancing

this is about the powers. I got kill the worm with my destro lock for 30 seconds. Summon 2 infernal with 60 seconds, 100% dmg / hp increse. At some point was with 6

But even then for the worm specifically, I was thinking this boss is so poorly designed for melee with all those spreading **** on the ground.

On my DH i cleared layer 6 with ilvl 150.

Got unlimited immolation aura with 400% more dmg and more soul cleave dmg when aura is up. Stacked defence only and just let the boss die. Healthbar didn’t even move.

On my mage(ilvl 174) i had a run where i got around 150% more crit dmg and fireblast juggle. Boss died in combustion.

Torghast is silly and boring

Problem for me is to even get through 1 layer as havoc. The elites hurt like hell in there. As vengeance i can breeze through the thrash easily but the worm killed me with enrage since my dps wasnt enough… havent gone back since i dont feel like spending time there just to get killed in the last boss again. I really dont know what kind of superhumans these other havoc players are to get through everything so Easily when the elites itself are tanks with huge dps

Bad rng man. I know it can hurt as melee and without good powers.

But you dont have any powers at the first floor. unless you get super lucky with the first power everything hurts. I’d like to enjoy the place as havoc but i simply cant.

Well, luck is essential… i got 1 that said every 5 second 5% reduction dmg for 5 times, and another wich said at random during combat reduce 99% (or 90%, don’t remember) and lasted 3 seconds, immo aura buffed by 300% and last forever, chaos strike during immo buff and 8, and i said 8… the thing wich buff blade dance… enjoyed the 20k crit every 7 seconds. Still i feel torghast kinda annoying…

Try skipping everything on the first floor when possible. And only look for anima powers. I usally can pick up 2 without real combat. It helps alot. I am nelf tho which lets me drop combat. As belf… i feel sorry :frowning:

Anyway skip all elite on floor 1 you often gain enough power later. And maybe 1 drops a power in reality so they are not worth the effort early into a run
