To be fair though, I have friends doing it in 190-195 ilvl on their alts. But they are also all mythic raiders so there might be a skill gap. Either way, Torghast wasn’t made to be cleared on all layers by the entire playerbase on every week, it’s content that was made for you to progress and be on a layer that you are comfortable with. If that’s layer 3/4/5/6/7/8 it doesn’t matter cause you’ll still get the soul ash that is needed for the content you do not the mythic content you wanna be geared for

You said the entire run is dead and you can’t complete it unless you have good RNG with powers. I have cleared it with bad powers, I have friends who have cleared it with bad powers. There’s most likely even hundreds more who have cleared with bad powers.
If you can’t clear layer 8 it’s not a power issue, it’s a you issue. And that can be either gear or skill, but layer 8 isn’t for you if you can’t clear it.
Why do you need a layer 8 clear? For high keys or glad pushing pvp rank? Mythic raiding? If you did any of those you could clear layer 8 and all your posts wouldn’t be here. You are getting geared and getting the soul ash for the content you do, not the content you deep down in your heart want to do but can’t
I think you misunderstood, friend. I am not saying that it is impossible to do it with lower ilvl (I am currently 164), but that doing it with high ilvl indeed makes it a breeze to do. I apologize if I worded it badly.
