Easy.
When you end Torgasht, a chest appears. More floors you reach, more ilvl the chest contains. There is a probability that the chest doesnt contain an iten, like m+.
With this i think its and alternative to m+ for solo players. Without this its only a new system that you will forget when you get the legendary bis.

From a development perspective, that is a bad idea.
The game rewards you for group content, not solo content. Good players would just do the solo stuff and ignore the rest.
Not to mention that you can clear like 20 floors in 1 hour, so then what… you should have 20 pieces of loot?
That’s insane, it will ruin itemization completely.

Bring MMO back in MMORPG… and RPG also !!
Make solo challenges for cosmetic items not for competitive items.

You do realise that it’s designed for 1-5 players right? Unless you are vastly out geared (which you won’t be at launch) going solo is going to be harder. It scales based on player number but still won’t be easy.
Imo not everything needs useful loot to be fun.
If Torghast is fun (it currently looks like it could be), I’ll play it regardless of loot.
And if it is not fun I’ll “forget it once I get my legendary”, just like you said. But I still wouldn’t want it to drop good loot in this case. That would just make for another gamemode that is no fun that I’d have to play for loot.
Imo good loot in a boring gamemode is actually worse than a boring gamemode that’s not mandatory.

This is a big mistake. Warfront was a disaster because the reward dosnt stimulate you to go.
Its not only fun. A good desing combines fun and rewards.
Horrific visions drop meaningfull loot and they’re still a disaster to me.
If they wouldn’t have meaningful loot I’d ignore them. But because they have meaningful loot, I feel inclined to do them, eventhough I hate my life during that 30+ mins.
If warfronts would have been more challenging and fun, people would’ve probably done them without the good rewards.
I think m+ is a good example. Key levels higher than 15s don’t really have a reward and people still love to do them.

please no, torghast is a rogue like, they dont need to add high item level gear to it, considering they are lowering the amount of loot players can access in SL.
adding loot to it would mean that they would then have to add some kind of limiting factor to it for how much you can do it, and that would just suck, its fine as it is

So, you want a warfront 2.0. Fun system but without rewards.
How many warfront did you do this month?

Are warfronts fun though?

But keep the idea, not the words.
Torghast is so fun, but if you go, expending 1 hour to get nothing, nobody will go to do it. Like warfront.
To me it will depend on how fun it is. Like… i still do m+ cause i find it fun to challenge myself to see how far i can go. Do i get upgrades from doing m+? Not really, maybe if i get really lucky with the weekly chest. But i still do several m+ every week cause its fun content for me.
If torghast is fun and engaging and can give me some challenge to work towards, then yes, i’ll probably keep doing it even if it doesnt give me loot.
Pls, give me an honest answer. Would you go everyday to m+ if it doesnt give a reward?
I think like you. Is fun to see what lvl can i reach in a m+, but if it dosnt give a reward i woldnt go every day, only 1 per week or less.

Yes i would. I dont do m+ for rewards. I cant even remember last time i got an upgrade from the end chest in m+. Would i do +20 keys if i only did m+ for the reward?
In my honest opinion the most of players go m+ to get better items. But its probably i am wrong. But i think this way.
I’m only talking about myself. For many players ofc its loot that motivates them. You are one of them, i am not.
MMO also contains " massively "
Having a solo progression route is part of something massive, I like OP’s idea especially since its not really a strictly solo progression route ( you can have friends join )
Imo, Torghast should reward gear and be a viable progression path.
Say I spent 6 hours and reached floor 500, mobs, bosses and the difficulty is way way harder than mythic raids, the time spent is more, the dedication is more and the skill ( although of a different type ) is super high, yet I am not rewarded a mythic difficulty item?
Makes no sense to me tbh.
Torghast has potential and can be something revolutionary just like M+ is, it can attract a new sort of crowd, just like M+ has its own M+ enthusiasts, in fact M+ now has its own E-sports.

Isn’t this the case now for Mythic+ if you don’t like the system?
It’s nothing revolutionary, ffiv has palace of the dead since 2016. It’s a nice feature, but it doesn’t have to award gear. Some nice cosmetics and achievements can keep people playing for a long time.
