Homosexuality that occurs naturally in all animals (including humans) is included, so Coca-Cola should be too? Bit of ridiculous comparison.
Blood elf u_u
Oh my god how did i post here and not in wrath i do not know
damn both classes are kind of cool for those
rough to make a choice
absolutely not, what is wrong with you??
coca cola should not occur anywhere in an animal
I think my body may be broken.
It wasnât taken down because it was inflammatory. Posts get taken down because âthe community decided this was inflammatoryâ. That community is the same people who waged forum wars in the Bukachu thread. Itâs just that the mods donât always have the time to deal with them.
Not exactly.
The poster was saying that the reason for including gay people into WoW was that gay people occurred in real life. I replied that X occurring in real life is not a good reason to be including X into a game, and made an illustration with Coca-Cola ads. There might be other reasons, but âit occurs in real lifeâ simply isnât a good one.
Whereâs the alleged transphobia? Right, nowhere.
Ahh⌠the âLetâs compare a concept with a brand, that makes so much sense.â
Irony, I thought you were the be all and end all of analogy
If nature doesnât add coca cola to bonobo societies, itâs just hypocritical sjw pandering
My analogy works perfectly fine.
Gay people have existed in the lore since at least MoP (a lesbian couple in The Steamy Romance Novel isnât great rep, but itâs there), or even classic if you want to retroactively include Matheas. You donât have any lore basis as to why a person in the WoW setting canât be attracted to their same gender, thereâs no argument, thereâs no analogy - thatâs why people call you cringe.
Iâm in the same boat.
I see some of the off-realm OOCers mentioning that the forums makes them feel unwelcome and alienated, and it just leaves me thinking; thatâs good. Working as intended. They think weâre a bunch of hateful weirdoes? Perfect!
Anything that prevents future influx of pure OOCers is ultimately neccessary. It all works out.
In your head.
Apart from youâre comparing a concept to a product so it doesnât work at all.
I wonât reply any further because itâs a waste of my time.
That might be a good argument. I objected to a different argument which was bad. Your conclusion is weird, but whatever.
Is someone tryna say putting gays in-game is bad?
Thereâs always someone on the forums saying that. The person today has been saying it for months.
Some people are just dumbdumbs. Whatâs wrong with nature being put ingame tbf.
You seem to be a little lost as to how analogies work. I was objecting to the point: X occurs in real life â X should be included in a game. For that, it doesnât matter whether X is a concept or a product. It only has to âoccur in real lifeâ. So, yes, my analogy works fine.
A different analogy from another poster didnât work, because he misrepresented a key aspect which was vital to his argument. The difference between a concept and a product is not vital to mine. The prima facie proof of that is that I can switch the product I took into a concept, if you so want it, and everything will stay the same.
