Toxic group of kids!

Homosexuality that occurs naturally in all animals (including humans) is included, so Coca-Cola should be too? Bit of ridiculous comparison.

I think my body may be broken.

It wasn’t taken down because it was inflammatory. Posts get taken down because “the community decided this was inflammatory”. That community is the same people who waged forum wars in the Bukachu thread. It’s just that the mods don’t always have the time to deal with them.

Not exactly.

The poster was saying that the reason for including gay people into WoW was that gay people occurred in real life. I replied that X occurring in real life is not a good reason to be including X into a game, and made an illustration with Coca-Cola ads. There might be other reasons, but “it occurs in real life” simply isn’t a good one.

Where’s the alleged transphobia? Right, nowhere.

Ahh… the “Let’s compare a concept with a brand, that makes so much sense.”

Irony, I thought you were the be all and end all of analogy

If nature doesn’t add coca cola to bonobo societies, it’s just hypocritical sjw pandering

My analogy works perfectly fine.

Gay people have existed in the lore since at least MoP (a lesbian couple in The Steamy Romance Novel isn’t great rep, but it’s there), or even classic if you want to retroactively include Matheas. You don’t have any lore basis as to why a person in the WoW setting can’t be attracted to their same gender, there’s no argument, there’s no analogy - that’s why people call you cringe.

I’m in the same boat.
I see some of the off-realm OOCers mentioning that the forums makes them feel unwelcome and alienated, and it just leaves me thinking; that’s good. Working as intended. They think we’re a bunch of hateful weirdoes? Perfect!

Anything that prevents future influx of pure OOCers is ultimately neccessary. It all works out.

Apart from you’re comparing a concept to a product so it doesn’t work at all.

I won’t reply any further because it’s a waste of my time.

That might be a good argument. I objected to a different argument which was bad. Your conclusion is weird, but whatever.

Is someone tryna say putting gays in-game is bad? :hocho:

There’s always someone on the forums saying that. The person today has been saying it for months.

Some people are just dumbdumbs. What’s wrong with nature being put ingame tbf.

You seem to be a little lost as to how analogies work. I was objecting to the point: X occurs in real life → X should be included in a game. For that, it doesn’t matter whether X is a concept or a product. It only has to “occur in real life”. So, yes, my analogy works fine.

A different analogy from another poster didn’t work, because he misrepresented a key aspect which was vital to his argument. The difference between a concept and a product is not vital to mine. The prima facie proof of that is that I can switch the product I took into a concept, if you so want it, and everything will stay the same.
