Toxic group of kids!

I have never seen these hypothetical armies but I have been assured that they do in fact exist.
I have also heard that they are made up of Humans rather than Falinks so they are very bad hypothetical armies.

True as long as we don’t claim that OOCers are at risk of damaging an idealized version of AD. AD has a lot of problems, and the focus on OOCers is just a convenient scapegoat that allows an easy focus on the community’s worse feelings against them. The energy that it takes conveniently makes people think less about problems between different mindsets and how to deal with them.

Not at all? Many non-RP communities have nothing to do with griefing. OOC players usually don’t spend their time trolling and griefing - heck, if you stopped role-playing you may have interacted with some non-roleplayers over the course of the years and likely you haven’t seen them chasing RPers while touching their evil moustache. Most likely they just mind their own business.

Furthermore, roleplayers don’t seem to do a quick backlash against those who grief them. What they propose is to promote a system where OOCers feel unwelcome and disliked as much as possible, which is very close to a constant form of harassment. Sorry but a single episode where you backlash against a group of bullies, and an organized group of vigilantes promoting their resentful ideology are just different things.

The reason the movement has begun now is because a lot of today’s communities are composed by toxic kids, and their leaders like to feed their bad attitudes.

I’m not buying the “we got sooo much patience but now we’re fed up”. Let’s be honest, the RP community never had any patience in the first place, and still it wouldn’t justify the attack on all OOCers rather than griefers.

Sorry? I think you misunderstood the conversation. Please, could you atleast read the context next time? tyvm

It is not arbitrary at all? In a group you’re supposed to give a direct contribution to reach the objectives of that team. The idea is that you partecipate, actively, in the group’s dynamics. In the server, under no circumstance you owe a spirit of active collaboration with the other players - you can keep to your own, you can /afk without telling anyone, and so forth. If you /afk without telling anyone in a group, that’s quite jerk-y instead. And so on. And so on.

edit.

I mean, we’ve seen it on the forums a few times already. Even on this thread you have players being all happy that someone missbehaved with the OP, because if someone is toxic with OOCers that’s a good thing in their mindset.

Guilty as charged - Kaitylinn is a 1-to-1 scale likeness of my irl self because I too am a silly thicc dead woman.

you forgot cowgirl.

I knew there was something off about you.

Not if I defeat you with my hacked lvl 15 Blastoise.

I think you’ve forgotten the content of your own posts from five minutes ago again (by accident)

Are you claiming the number values of five, fourty and 5,000 (or whatever a server is) are objective measurements that were created in the heavens and then sent to earth to guide man in creating MMOs

Do you think it would be impossible for raid groups to be capped at 20 instead for example

They are absolutely arbitrary

Applies to literally any group (with a server community being a form of group by definition)

So you’re backing down on that claim and admitting that you simply made something up again just because Carees got you mad enough to start telling fibs

Thank you for once again fact-checking yourself. Please stick within the realms of reality for at least the next few posts

I never did get how they expected to make it from the keep to the harbour after the regicide with that many people.

Literally nobody seriously thinks or says that. Even the PCU who you partially blame have classically (even in their pre-PCU days) had a bigger chip on their shoulders for the likes of ERPers than they have for Non-RPers.

However the fact remains that Non-RPers at best provide a passive inconvenience (which RPers have historically been willing to accept and tolerate) and the majority of griefers (the main people to go against the live and let live attitude of the server’s various player groups) come from that community.

If the griefers were dealt with this dislike would instantly vanish and it has been able to fester due to that not happening.

Same with RPers and the forum posters, which was the point.

You think this sort of thing hasn’t been tried before. If you have an idea RPers can theoretically try it has been tried.

This carries the implication that AD forum posts being toxic is a new phenomenon and solely focused on OOCers. Anyone from the old forums will be laughing their head off at this claim.

I quite frankly don’t care what you’re ‘buying’. It’s a fact that fully anti-Non-RP player sentiment has not become mainstream until recently. The main issue that AD has argued over has been ERP rather than anything else.

Using a Gen 1 Water type that isn’t Starmie or Cloyster. SMH.
