Going back to the original topic of this discussion, the only thing I want is to be able to RP and host events in peace without OOCers either griefing or gawking in a not-so-subtle manner as if I was an animal in a zoo. It was only yesterday that my event was griefed by a couple of OOCers, and they didn’t stop even when whispered to cut it off. Eventually me and my guildies had to switch to warmode in order to RP in peace, but we shouldn’t have to do that in a first place.

Another recent example: a big troll event in Zuldazar, basically a fun team game involving kicking a fish around. Of course, it was griefed by few OOCers who even invited their offrealm friends to ‘help’. Some people even logged to Alliance and whispered them to stop, but got ignored. Thankfully, the culprits were eventually bored and gave up.

There are many, many more instances like this in only 2 or 3 years of me RPing on this server. Unfortunately, griefing is more prominent in large player hubs such as Orgrimmar and Stormwind. And with Argent Dawn being the last bastion for roleplay in EU, it is only natural that roleplayers are protective of it in fear of AD being turned into another wasteland like many RP servers have before.

Imagine if the people saying that non-RPers have a place on the server over and over again spent time levelling a new toon instead of being on the forums.

They might actually find a better realm to play on than AD for their purposes. Fun to think about.
