there are way to much spamming in trade and LFG of selling boosts, assistance in dungeons, portals, summons in Trade and LFG channel, they got their own channel and i wish blizzard could invoke their new rule that they should be kept to the Services channel.
just read these rules:
“Individuals and guilds selling items and profession services for gold is allowed but can only be advertised in-game through the Trade chat channel.”
“Individuals and guilds selling boost or assistance in raiding, dungeon, or PvP activities for gold is allowed but can only be advertised in-game through the Trade Services chat channel. Advertising for gameplay activities should be done by a WoW player-character who intends to participate in the gameplay activities. This means there should be no cross-realm advertising, and there should be no advertising from non-participating players.”
like in the pvp realm there are like 9 out of 10 messages thats Selling boosts and so on in the lfg and trade channels.
I shouldnt have to dowload an addon to keep my chat clear.
If people just could keep stuff to the right channels everyone would be happy. atleast those that dont want their channels spammed by the wrong stuff.

If you see such chat you’ll need to report it as Blizzard doesn’t actively monitor channels. They retroactively react on player reports instead for social issues.

haha yeah they gonna get right on it and not the bots, F U wow player for trying to play the game., _mII m <----- this is blizzard more like glizzard over drive
im doing that every time i see it, i got some people on the fresh pve servers to help. but it has increased alot with selling boosts so would be nice if they could issue some warning or something to get people to just keep it to their channel
Aye.
The mere fact that it´s not getting reported enough to make them stop just by auto-silences alone, which on retail is the most natural thing in the world, speaks volumes about the overall classic community and their “swipe your way to success” mentality.
The very same community that complains every freaking day about the bots their swiping directly finances, of course

u sound the person with the worst gamer sense in the world why are u defending bots lol
I was not defending bots, I was chastizing the players that aren´t reporting the boosters and gold sellers because they´re more likely than not actively paying for their services.
Read, comprehend, and only then answer.
But by your own admission you´re only here to spew and get banned, so the mods will have a nice present for you soon enough
Noone can report all these spammers. Just take a look at /trade or - even worse - /general. These channels are a big scroll.
I deactivate the trade channel always and the general most of the time.
thats why i think blizzard should either send out a message or a warning that everyone can see so the spamming stops or inform people of the Services channel, because alot of people dosnt even know that it exist
The only warning someone who spams about boosting deserves is being silenced for 2 weeks, they should know that the LFG channel at least is not for them to spam about selling stuff in.
first 2 times they should get silenced, if they keep doing it they should get banned for a day. blizzard must set an example otherwise we will get the chats like the pvp server have. 7 to 9 out of 10 messages are boost selling in trade and lfg channel
At least in the Anniversary server, Blizzard could really pay 3 people on 8h shifts to watch the chat and act on this problem (and others meanwhile). Reporting felt like I was doing a job, not playing - beacuse is what Blizzard should be doing.
As I don’t think that the above is going to happen, it is a pity that we don’t have a way of knowing if reporting does anything or not. It would encourage players more to use the report tool if we had some feedback. Hey, even I might be reporting something legit and I am wasting my time!
If it helps, the thing I did is to report them and then block them with “Global Ignore List and Spam Filter” addon (infinite block list). If Blizard does act, I can assure that Blizz takes its time because I could see the same advertisers the following day. In the end, the only option to have a clean chat is to block the spammers yourself.
You do get feedback if any actions have been taken against someone you report (might just be when its a ban but my inbox have a fair few messages from Blizzard thanking me for reporting.)
they should start to monitor it because there is so much spam so 1-2 people cant handle it. they spam both Trade and LFG everyday, sometimes there are 5 messages at the same time. so would be nice if they could either put out a message to warn them or just check in once or twice per day. sure that social issues can be a problem but alot of people are getting annoyed and mad at the spam in trade and lfg chat.
only way for blizzard to actually fix so people keep selling services to the Chat Services is if blizzard inform people that dont know about it or make people en example, so they know that they can get punished for spamming, otherwise the spam will continue because silence will do nothing in the end.
