I think The Trading Post in World of Warcraft needs some upgrading.
It seems over the course of the past couple months there has been even more we’ll call them “High Ticket Items” than before. When this system initially was integrated the player would have the choice of 1 or 2 High Ticket Items, or a few smaller ones. That was totally fine in my book. Want the Mount/Transmog? That means you don’t get this weapon.
It felt alright with the monthly rate of tender, & I agreed with not every player should get every item each month. But there hasn’t been an increase in Tender to combat the increase of monthly goods.
This month is a prime example, 3 Transmog sets, 4 mounts, 3 pets. For me personally I really focus only on mounts & keep stockpiled each month in prep for if there will be additional mounts next month. Which as a result the Trading Post hasn’t felt like this fun system where I can shop around for new things.
I propose that either A. Reduce the cost of monthly items or B. Increase the rate at which we get Tender.
Maybe an “Extra Credit” system. So after the monthly reward is collected, you can keep doing tasks throughout the month to get a bonus 250 or 500. I think this would open up more players to have fun collecting cosmetics.
How do you feel about the trading post? Are you finding things are too expensive and your tender disappears to quickly? Or is it about right? Are you someone who rarely finds something you want to buy, what kind of things would entice you to spend tender?

Yes.
1000 tenders is way too little.
Look, I’m not saying give us free stuff, just give us a way to grind more, even if it’s annoying and tedious tasks, i’ll do it.
Some months feel really bad with all the cool stuff they add to the post.

So far I still think it’s okay, however, I am very good in compromising and have an “odd” taste.
Mounts on the TP are generally to flashy/ugly for me, so I barely buy one.
Mog sets… often look good at first glance, but when I look closer, they lose their lure, having too many clipping issues or being too bulky… or simply too silly or not immersive enough.
Pets don’t interest me at all.
So, with those three huge things off the list that usually “eat” Tender, the only thing I usually spend my tender on are the small things like single weapons, boots, shawls, hoods, skirts etc. … and if there ever is a set I actually want, I still have some thousand Tender left from the months before.
Nonetheless, I wouldn’t mind if every month of “fill the bar” was 1500 Tender instead of 1000, because even without filling it consciuosly, I would probably still end up with a filled one at the end of each month.

Introducing Premium pass to double your tenders each month!
I am struggling, there are too many high cost items. If there is a mount then that wipes out most of my tendies. There was even a high cost pet this time. I think they either need to reduce the costs or double how much we earn.

i agree it should be 2000 tenders per month
1000 for non subs
2000 for people with an active sub
or have a “farm” where we can earn like 10 tenders for doing tasks once we cap the maximum per month

I was waiting for someone to bring this up! For the first time since the Trading Post launched, I’m left with 45 tendies (and barely bought anything). I really like the proposed solutions.

Or allow us to chose between extra tender or the monthly rewards we get “for free”; I often don’t want those and would prefer blank tender instead… but I guess devs wouldn’t like that, because everything where the player can chose something requires an option to revert it, because many ppl can’t accept they have to live with the consequences of their choices or “missclick”.

3 mounts this week and we get only 1000 tenders. I have no words how bad it is!

I think trading post is lame. Its month long cycle and I usually hit max points first day of the month. Yeah…

Easy fix, stop putting in those damn high-ticket items that drain our tendies.
Even the trading post is being milked and it shows.
So far it seems fine. I rarely let things be because I want it but can’t afford it (or put in the freezer).
I had two or three months where I barely wanted anything, leading to quite a stache of them now. This month will be one of those, again. So I’ll build some tenders.
But yeah, whoever wants everything will feel bad. But then, perhaps that’s more a case of “FOMO” than anything else, which requires a simple change of mindset. Hoarding stuff you won’t use anyways, isn’t really useful either
I’d say; be happy with what you can get. More isn’t always better, as it will eventually feel meaningless.
I’m going to be very cynical here: It’s by design. Keep the earnings low and the cost high and pretty soon the players are going to beg for ways to get more - even buying them for money.

Standard “free” cash-shop practise tbh.
Hook & Sink, cause everyone’s gotten used to stuff appearing on the TP.
Soon you’ll be able to just buy either a few items, or more stuff is going to appear.
Or in the US you’re gonne be able to buy tendies, just watch.
True. It still makes me sad when I see the “just let us pay for them” comments (I’m aware they haven’t reared their heads here).
If the US gets to buy them they’re coming to EU, too, but it would be nice if they could reign in their greed just a little

i think the freezer option could increase to 2 slots too
i normally hover around 2000 tendies in my bags
but lately im hovering around 1000
there has been months where ive had to just not buy anything in order to " catch up" on tendies
luckily im not a fan of Valentines day stuff. so it could be a Save month soon

EU legislation will most likely prevent Blizzard from doing this in the EU.
Because:
- It’s illegal in certain countries
- It falls under gambling laws in other countries
And this game is still PEGI12, and since last year the EU is also tightning down on these kind of practises. So I highly doubt Blizzard is going to deal with the hassle, and somehow compensate players from the countries where they can’t do it, or they’ll have riots.
In which countries is a digital currency forbidden? I don’t know of any.
Nuh? It’s very clear before you buy it what you get. It’s not a loot-box or anything like that…not a single “chance” is involved.
