Hello, Classic Hardcore is on its’ way and I was wondering, when a character is dead and has the option to be transferred to a classic-era server, is it ANY server or some select servers? Will we be available to pick any server from the Classic-era ones? Any kind of help or knowledge about it is greatly appreciated, hope Blizzard reads this too. Thank you in advance everyone.

Well I tried to reach out for the answer about transfers when Blizz announced last chance of transfer from SoM1 13 days ago
However outside of US forum barely any answers are given and usually they are in no-reply form.
We don’t know if free character (ghost) transfer destination would be there all of Era realms, some selected ones or if Blizzard allow to transfer fallen HC characters to Wrath Classic (and Cata Classic, if that is to come) progression realms.

After dying on a Hardcore realm, players will be able to choose to utilize the Free Character Move service and move their dead character to a non-Hardcore Classic Era realm.
This is all we know. Just hope it will be FCT to any and all Era realms.

I think it will be to Pyrewood village for definite and maybe one PvP realm, probably Firemaw, but you could already have a full roster so there may be multiple options.

And if a name is taken in one realm of the cluster, we should be able to transfer to another.

Why not check out names before move?

I always check names before transfer. I don’t want to be forced with a name change and I don’t have a ready name to change.

Okay so after done some digging I read Blizzard’s article about the free transfer.
" if you want to keep playing your recently departed character or make sure your currently living character doesn’t face a sudden mishap, you can utilize the Free Character Move service and move any character to a non-Hardcore Classic Era realm. To learn more about how to start a Free Character Move, refer to this support article."
There is another support article about a free character transfer error that indicates:
"Error. Please address these issues: The selected realm is not accepting character transfers at this time.
You may receive this error if you are trying to move to a realm that is full or is closed to free character migrations. You will need to choose a different realm."
So if my assumptions are correct we will not be able to transfer a dead HC character to ANY full server, which means that we won’t be able to get to any cluster server. That kind of sucks… Still waiting for confirmation from Blizzard, otherwise we just check it out ourselves when HC is out.

If my this you mean any FIREMAW Cluster server you migth be rigth. Funky expression, as we have two other clusters: The 3 PvE English servers and the other PvP realms.
If that is true, then revival of second cluster incoming.
