I have my level 60 (horde) priest that is a bit stuck on my current pve cluster. I have seen that you can now transfer from pve to pvp (or at least it says so in the shop)
Is the pve cluster (let’s say firemaw) more active when it comes to raiding or pvp, or would it just be a waste of money ?
From the other threads i have seen it seems like the pvp cluster is a lot more active, or is this just a bad perception on my part ?
Anyway, i hope someone can shed a bit of light for me.

There is only on PvE cluster and Firemaw is a PvP realm. The firemaw PvP cluster is more active than the others but still not really busy.
Make a character on the realm or cluster you want to move to and check it for yourself.

I am playing on both clusters, and in general they appear more or less same size on Alliance. Horde seems a bit more populated on the PvP cluster than PvE.
And just as Dottie says: Firemaw is a PvP server, the PvE cluster contains the three realms Nethergarde Keep, Mirage Raceway and Pyrewood Village.
Thank you for the answers, i am really not sure what to do atm. I am geared to start bwl, but not for AQ or Naxx. There seem to be little raiding going on atm, hence why i asked the question.
I am looking for a guild but have not really any idea where to start.
There are raids on both clusters, however they might be harder to find until you are in a guild. This isnt a problem though, most are recruiting all the time.
Are you sure you are talking about Era and not Wrath?
As a commenter has posted above, check your current PvE cluster population.
For this, you can log in the evenin, make a few /who checking some levels 1-19, 20-59, 60, etc to get a feel of how many people are online. Also you can check the AH numbers, which to me are usually a good depiction of activity.
Now create a lvl 1 char on Firemaw, go to the city, do the same /who and check their numbers.
Also, we get lvl 1 people asking auqestion all the time on /4 world. Do this as well. Ask around within the server itself any question you may have. People are usually responsive to this and really want to give you valid answers to questions like → are there raids/pugs going on here?
I think if you do all this you will get a much better feel for how things are at the moment in both the PvE & PvP clusters and also help you make a decision.

Ok thank you all for the answers. I will do some research tonight on the realm clusters.
So far i had the impression that the firemaw cluster was more active (or at least more active for my needs, that would be. Bwl and upwards. But again i am open for anything.
