Transmog drops

How am I being hostile? Sorry, but theres two people in this thread calling a third person things and concludes on their behalf instead of bringing forward their opinion and having and adult discussion about things, and you’re one of the two :upside_down_face: is it really that hard for you, to bring forward your opinion without talking me down? Do you feel more accomplished saying “You just want the lazy way” and calling me lazy instead of telling me why you think the system is fine as is?

Like you must be lacking self-realization if you Think I’m being hostile and yourself to be “all good” :smiling_face_with_tear: but thats apparantly People’s communication skills in 2024

I didn’t actually call them a lazy gamer I called the solution lazy. Big difference!

With the changes in TWW it would have an even bigger impact that you’d never really have to farm anything. Ofc some will always love not having to do anything much and getting it all.

I also made the point about the awful GL system we have atm being awful for collectors but this would be the other extreme IMO :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

Again, I don’t see the relevance of saying “You just want the lazy way” that implies I am lazy.

You can bring your opinion forward without bringing people down. So maybe instead of calling me hostile, look at the way you communicate

Different idea. What about adding a 100% drop token for killing all bosses in that specific raid in a week which can be used to get from a vendor 1 transmog per week with that token?

Most armor transmog sets persist of 9 items, so for armor alone that would be 9 weeks of participation IF you kill all bosses in that week. Not even counting weapons.

I also gave a similar idea in my first response, so it was farmable, but apparantly I just wanted the fastest most lazy solution :upside_down_face:

I agree. this could be a good compromise.

The actual situation isnt so bad but sometimes having all the pieces of the armor could be a pain (i was pointed an ninja cuz i needed once a piece i missed in LFR).

There was a good idea in another thread about how to make greed and transmog rolls viable. Greed option simply gives you some gold with no roll, while several highest mog rolls get the mog without getting the item itself. Such an idea would benefit all those who don’t need an upgrade while allowing those still gearing to get what they want.

The OP must be a killer at parties.

Bartender: “Would you like a drink?”
Clawcious: “Hey, stop talking down to me and communicate ok?”
Bartender: “Sir/Madam, I was just asking if you would like a drink!”
Clawcious: “Why are you being so hostile to me, can’t I have an opinion?”
Bartender: “Ummm, you’re in a bar, where we serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. We don’t offer any forms of services/entertainment. So If you’re not interested in purchasing a drink, I’d recommend you leave the premises.”
Clawcious: “Oh so now you’re not bothering to speak to me like an adult?!”

Bouncer throws out Clawcious

Anyway jokes, aside, I like the current system, where I farm for my transmog items, as I get that feeling of accomplishment, when it finally drops, after weeks/months/years of trying to get it.

I don’t think they’d do something like that for current content considering we have the vault and catalyst. It is worth mentioning that the catalyst for the previous tiers becomes free after it’s no longer current.

They are constantly making changes, you can see for TWW they are finally going for a more account wide approach even with transmog. We are yet to see the finer details but it looks promising for all those that like to collect all armour types. I’m a one trick Puny so have only really collected stuff she can wield or wear. But that’s just me.

We did have one LFR set we could collect in open world but they never repeated that. I think it was for the first raid this expansion.

Is it just to put them on an equal footing in terms of roll priority? Or they wouldn’t be rolling on the item at all?

No, if you don’t roll need, you don’t get the item itself. Only gold or transmog, which is often far more coveted.

Sorry I’m being dim, just trying to understand. I didn’t see the other thread or not that suggestion at least.

So a raid full of people roll on an item. 10 people roll need, 5 roll greed and 8 roll transmog. How would that go?

1 among 10 who needed it gets the item, like it’s today. Several of 8 who rolled transmog get it in the collection, but no item. 5 who rolled greed get the item’s worth in gold with no roll or something like that, maybe roll on extra gold attatched.

The downside to such a system, is there WILL be those individuals, who will complain about why should all those people get the transmog, but yet I can’t win the item, along with the other person who rolled need.

I really don’t see the developers, even adding such a suggestion on their priority list any time in the near or distance future.

I would however see them adding dungeon/raid transmogs on the shop page, if you people are so impatient to get their LFR transmog set. $10 for the full set!

Thanks for the explanation. Seems to be giving a lot of people a lot of stuff again. I’m not a fan but I’m sure others are :dracthyr_nod:

Issue is, how does someone access old transmogs via the catalyst if the new gear from current season uses the new transmogs from the current season?

I don’t see a selection button. It’s fully automatic and doesn’t let you chose.

No but the other person did, you don’t need to defend yourself from me Puny!

I don’t think we’ll ever see it as a shop option for IRL money. Even if they did add a vendor like we have for previous season PvP sets. Not sure if they’d just do it for gold or like PvP have to farm a specific currency to buy them. If at all ofc.

But the transmog we see in the shop tends to be it’s own unique stuff, not something we can get in game.

:dracthyr_love_animated:

It’s determined by the ilvl of the item usually and the look you are getting. You get a preview when you put something in.

Gear from content outside of the Emerald Dream such as Dreamsurges start at 415 and can be turned into the LFR appearance. If you then upgrade them, which you can do with just flightstones, to the old normal threshold you get the normal appearance automatically.

Sadly, it seems the gear is not working for HC and Mythic level right now and nobody knows why. The only way to get that is to do the S2 Raids and Catalyse them if they are not tier appearances.
