Nope. #NoChanges.

If you want transmog, go to retail.

He’s still kick your butt in his rags…
Aragorn = level 200 in rags.
You = level 60 in Naxx gear.
You = dead.

This said, there is transmog in Classic… as I already said, Deviate Fish or Noggenfogger and there you go, your PvP opponent has no way to know what you’re wearing.

I dunno man, I’m pretty good:P

Yeah well just now there’s an even cheaper option, with the halloween candy:p

I really like transmogrification. Collecting gear and mix n’ match various pieces trying to create something that looks good, I think is a really cool little metagame.

That said, there’s a time and place for everything. While I wholeheartedly support the feature in modern wow, it’s not something I would like to see added to classic.

For me, part of the charm was WYSIWYG. You wore the gear for the stats, not the looks (for the most part at least). If it made you look like something a closet threw up, then so be it.

Some of the (arguably) best looking gear in the game drops from higher content, so if looks is what drives you, then you have an incentive to run that content.

Main point being, I don’t know what bringing transmog into classic would do, and to be completely honest; I don’t want to find out either. It’s classic for a reason.

I don’t really know what transmogrification is but it seems cosmetic like in Sims game lol.

It seems transmogrification is a bit of a dirty word to many. To be honest I’m not surprised and I would hate to see the retail version of it making its way into classic.

Alternatively an upgrade path for low tier weapons and armour you want to bring to the end game could be a good alternative. I guess this would tie into a ‘classic+’ style feature.

It could be done in way that’s immersive, requiring maybe even a maxed out black smith and cost a ton. Through their skills and your farming of rare / highly valuable materials you could boost the stats so that they correspond with your character level.

Most of the gear present in classic looks like a crime against fashion anyway so I dont see the point of transmog. Only thing I would do is mog everything to Tier2 because Warlock Tier 2 is still one of the best warlock sets to this very day in Retail.

umn no NEXT!!!

I’m with the whole no changes squad but I must say, it’s honestly annoying to see everyone that doesn’t want changes not add any value to their statements/opinions, but instead say stuff like: “Go back to retail” “No thanks” “no #nochanges” etc.

If you’re gonna reply, at least make valid points for why you don’t want something/see it fitting.
If you can’t do that, then don’t reply at all.
(It’s worth mentioning I’ve done this myself, but i realized how stupid it makes me, and everyone else that doesn’t want changes sound)

Thanks.

Classic Community is afraid of Classic becoming retail. Transmogrification is the worst proposal. It has no value and no benefit in classic .
In addition, people are tired of explaining and discussing over and over again, why they do not want these contents from retrail.
These suggestions for change come mostly from retrail players.
Who can not understand that Classic is not new expansion .

Aragorn is not that hard if you know the strategy, like any end boss.

You must tank him with a female elf, this distracts him as its his weak point and lowers his guard making him a level 60 elite at best. At that point your DPS, who must wear the 1 Ring, can take him down.

I can think of quite a few quality of life changes that wouldn’t hurt classic, but transmog is not one of them. Back in Vanillla looking at a players gear was a good measure of how powerful a character was. If you didn’t look like clowns vomit then you were probably a well geared raider.

Showing off you gear was another thing. People would stand around in the major cities and would get a crowd of admirers.

In short: Getting gear that was actually good and also looked good was one of the biggest challenges in Vanilla and should remain in Classic.

But why? The whole point of Classic being released was precisely because of ridiculous changes like the one suggested by OP being made in the first place. Why are we even discussing this as though it’s even remotely actionable?

… or a pirate, or a ninja, or a skeleton…

I hate that word, just sounds awful.
And no, we don’t want it in Classic.

That argument completely falls apart the moment you acknowledge that you can do the same with Deviate Delight and Noggenfogger Elixir.

So basically, if 2 items in the entire game allow you to change appearance, why not add that ability to ALL of the ingame lootable items?

I’m just pointing out how flimsy this argument against Transmog is, since if it was such a crucial advantage that we cannot possibly afford to lose then why isn’t everyone using these items to hide their gear?

I come to Classic because features like Transmog don’t exist. I’d rather they not be brought to Classic.

When I want to experience those features I play BfA.
