Triple spec

Why my paladin has 3 specs, but in Era we will have only dual? What is wrong with math in this game?

Why triple? I want to use 7 specs.

4 specs should be a minimum so hybrids can have a pvp spec too

Need minimum 6 spec.

3 for PvE, 3 for PvP.

Just mathematics.

Just give us more talent points to have an universal ALL-spec. No need for so hated dual-spec anymore.

Every modern game offers up to 10 specs. I assume the idea back then was that you don’t mindlessly swap talents as it could also give you an advantage that makes the encounter unbalanced. Later and also in retail it got obsolete, cause talent changes were likely considered in the balancing process.

My take is that…

In Classic, you were supposed to stick to a build. The first attempts are fairly cheap, it’s only regular changes that cost real cash.

Judging by the level of polishment across higher level zones, I assume Blizzard didn’t particularly think about high levels.

By WLK Blizzard realized that tanks and healers aren’t exactly having fun outdoors, so they added the option of a second spec to support that. Of course they couldn’t just exclude mages or hunters.

Currently you can change as often as you want, except while deep in content. Access to all specs and the ability to save multiple builds.

This is a QoL I wouldn’t mind for Classic, but even dual spec makes some people cringe. Discounting those who benefit from it (supposedly every tank and healer is a gold buyer, since they cannot farm but need consumables, meaning everyone offering services will oppose such a change) I see that some people feel it takes fantasy away.

Also, it makes people a bit needy for gear. These days it’s stats but back then it used to be abilities relevant to just one spec.

7 sounds good. After dual spec every spec will be 40.00 dorrars in wow shop.
