Truesilver Bars - Overlooked or on purpose?

Hello,

Max mining you can reach it 225+5 (+5 for enchant). So I can mine Truesilver. However to smelt it I need 230 baseline as the trainer does not take the +5 from the enchant into account.

I need a crap load of it for the new epic raid items.

So the only means to get it are;

  • Transmute Mithril to Truesilver
  • Loot from chests

No other profession minus truesilver rod for enchanting has this issue. All the other professions can get there ‘raid’ material by normal means.

Overlooked or is this on purpose to the an already extremely expensive profession?

Wait, 225+5 is 230.

I think you mean to train in the smelting.

I dont see the issue. Why not just level mining to 230? Artisan mining is available at level 35?

I thought the limit was 225 in SoD phase 2?

I dont know. I dont play it. Would be one thing that is worthy to be called stupid then.

But, you need very little truesilver to level engineering/BS. I recently skilled BS to 300 on HC so i should know. Several engineers prior to that

They are doing it differently in SoD to Classic Era.

They are limiting just about everything in 3 phases. Level 25 then 40 now and finally 60, in about 3-4 months.

That doesn’t work, as the trainer doesn’t take into account your +5 from enchanting.

Really strange.

Well. It´s hard for me to imagine that they´d go out of their way to change the way those two professions are leveled up and truesilver is only used for certain “special” pieces of armor, atleast on proper classic.

Probably because the enchant is temporary.

and the enchanting rod.

Ye its capped at 225, I’m hoping it just overlooked or I’m missing something but the AH reflects it as bars are 10g and ore is 50s.

I´m curious as to how you are intending to skill blacksmithing as truesilver is not really necessary for it? Care to elaborate?=)

Its used for brand new armor in the lv40 raid.

SoD stops at 40 so there is a level 40 raid like there was at 25. BiS at 40 has some Truesilver gear.

Oh. For some reason i thought you said you needed it to skill up your professions. Sorry, I haven´t said anything

keep on smelting, Sir

That’s the point I can’t smelt :smiling_face_with_tear:

I think it just follows the old system which means you can’t learn smelting it at 225+5 with the enchant, you have to be actually 230.

“It is a feature, not a bug” most likely an oversight, because it seems recent layoffs hit their final internal testers as well. Never thought I would get Warcraft 3 refunded vibes of low quality outsource product that breaks something that worked for decades from WoW spinoff, but here we are.

The next phase is to lvl 50 and then to lvl 60

Yeah, for some reason I always forget about 50.

Then why are you even on the SoD forums
