Trust Level 3 + Flag Abuse ACC bound šŸ§ (update)

This is an example of bait and a legitimate opinion.

Whut? Please elaborateā€¦

Well you wrote it like thatā€¦

TL system is funneling posters towards a pursuit and maintenance of likeability just so they can express themselves.
And againā€¦this expression is free elsewhere, the posting privileges are taken away retroactively (ie you need to mess up first) whilst we pay and need to prove to the forum goers (networked catty men and women) that we deserve the privileges.

This. We already have to have an active sub to post here. Itā€™s not free. Trust levels are just an overkill.

Okay. Personally idk what else is happening, Iā€™m at work and only responding to her posts, but on my end there is just trying to tell her how the system isnā€™t correct.
Everything else is probably you trying to be a good friend.

Iā€™m confused whether you were accusing me of somethingā€¦ I would really like you to explain it to me. I donā€™t appreciate being accused of things I didnā€™t do, you seeā€¦

But me and you are some of the bluntest posters on the forum and I personally donā€™t think we deserve it unless we change which isnā€™t going to happen .
I might be sarcastic at times and I deserve bans but I have seen you use insults and I donā€™t think in all honesty thatā€™s the correct way to be on a forum that has posters from the age of 12 upwards.

I didnā€™t write anything like that, you did.

The forum rules are there regardless of trust levels.

Trust levels are a separate system that rewards regular posters that behave.

Places where anyone can say and do anything they like are horrible. They are just vile places where people attack each other and say the most disgusting things. So no I donā€™t want to take part in any discussion place like that. You need rules, reporting and moderation.

TL is just a bit of fluff on top of that.

I think it is always better be true to yourself. Always. This fakery in our society has got already out of hand. I.e. look at oscars (since they just happened) - people talk as if people should choose best actor or film based on anything else, but if actor or film was good.

Or look how social media is full of click-baits and false opinions because influencers are afraid of loosing their income, so they talk what generates clicks, even it would be telling flatout lies.

Honest and true to self people seem to be rare these days.

Punyā€¦there is a post from you that says limitations are there to encourage. That is what you said. I commented on that with 1984 etc

Also youā€™re making it out as if I said condone cesspit behaviour. I donā€™t, but the moderation here is lacking. Moderation that would ensure feeling free while posting and at the same time having some level of debate.

You obviously donā€™t have a lot of interaction with 12 year olds.

But seriouslyā€¦ the rules are the rulesā€¦ and I like to ride that shady line between breaking them and bending them. At least on the forums where the ā€˜punishmentā€™ doesnā€™t really matter that much.

Aaah ok didnt mean to make it sound like that xD by bait i mean you wanted Puny to reply to you, which in essence is bait.( I know its a strong word but im a memeā€™r :3)

I agree. Since, for now, non of the Trust features are account-wide, inactive alts that have MVP should lose their ā€˜statusā€™.

Iā€™m not bother by the green text by any means, a poster is just a poster. Trust level or green text donā€™t influence my opinions. But, if the system implies losing your perks because of inactivity and itā€™s based on character (not account) then they should lose it.

Now, if the blue post means Blizzard is truly thinking to make things account-wide then thatā€™s different story.
If the implement an account-wide system for the forums then perhaps all MVP alts should have MVP status as well as players should be able to use Trust level features.

I always want a reply. It enforces my existence.
Iā€™M LONELY! :sob:

But thanks for the explanation! /hug

Oh I do

And I agree and you know me I will not bend to blizzards or anyone elseā€™s view just to appease them .I can not stand people who bully I hate it and I donā€™t care if it makes me seem a SJW as im called but people get away with murder on the forums yet I can make one post a perfect post and I still get flagged . Some of the bans I really deserved other no because blizzard donā€™t take it as a single thing they look at all bans not case by case .They donā€™t look into how you are baited or provoked the moderation on the forums needs imho to be revamped.

I disagree with this, Iā€™m in a discussion in another thread about p2w at the moment. Most agree that WoW is p2w because of the token and I really disagree, my opinion is unpopular and I have three people telling me how wrong I am but I am not being herded to the popular opinion because of TL3 or fear of losing it.

I wonā€™t, however, debate the issue in a manner that is combative, rude, ā€œtoxicā€ or goes against the ToS because Iā€™m an adult and can argue and get my point across in a reasonable way that doesnā€™t lead to bans.

At least until I go back over to Twitter where I become a child

Oh yeah, I agree. To Blizzard weā€™re all just a statistic.

Flagging was a mistake, hell, we shouldnā€™t even be allowed to delete our posts.
Let everyoneā€™s rot fester in sight of all to see
Itā€™s humbling.

It will encourage some to behave yes, because they value being able to post gifs. We can even some who canā€™t behave being upset because they canā€™t post gifs. Clearly for some gifs is a good enough reward to want some to behave.

It is ridiculous IMO to suggest someone is fake because they can stick to the rules and express themselves without needing to resort to an expletive ridden rant. Nothing is stopping people from debating.

I know not everyone does, but I see TL purely as a passive, I donā€™t go out of my way to do anything on the forums. I just take part, most days, usually while queued for stuff or travelling in game. I have occasionally used the phone app but that has often lead to some hilarious autocorrects. Sometimes Iā€™m too busy and I donā€™t have a chance to do much. But we definitely have a set of regulars.
