The Turkish Situation (had to call it something so I used that) is a problem that isn’t going to go away and will undoubtedly arise again and again with other countries and products.
As players we can give you moral support and make sympathetic noises but in reality there’s very little we can do.
Blizzard have probably got the fiscal power to finance some sort of regime change in Turkey but that would be an extremely dangerous and unwise thing to do, most likely leading to criminal prosecutions, extremely large fines and possibly the end of Blizzard.
The resolution of this problem is only going to happen if there’s a huge change in the way the Turkish Govt. deals with the rest of the world. Change needs to happen but that can only come from within.
I do sympathise with your situation and I hope that things change for the better for you.
You gazumped me with this post seeing as the sentiments expressed are pretty much what I was going to post.
I hope they make this change so turckish people have very cheap subscription.
With my VPN set up properly, it means I will have cheap sub aswell!
As a matter of fact, the second any region that play on same realms as I do (EU) will get special treatment, my payment info will be coming from that country an instant.
Maaan I love internet.

World economy is in the corona storm and we don’t know what it will be like when world population health is stabilised. I looked at corona statistics for Turkey and it’s not so bad, not yet anyway. Perhaps you will have an advantage there and your valuta will rise. Trump is a fool as usual, not handling the pandemi in a good way.

Yep finally someone who points the potential abuse. Not to mention we have countries in Europe and part of EU that have low incomes 800€ monthly and play the game just fine and you dont hear them whine about it and make threads, priorities in life.
When you say pathetic? How long have you lost your conscience? Management staff in Turkey could have followed the wrong policy. We have no power alone to prevent these mistakes. You may lose everything but never lose your conscience.
I wasnt talking to you i was defending you re read my post it was aimed at a shaman .
well you would need to separate all those countries like us/eu/china/taiwan and what not.
It is possible as you can see china / taiwan. Both pay different subscriptions while one is not even a country per say.
problem is probably that the region has not enough players to actually support own region servers.
Taiwan has at least enough players.
But you can see in EU (see epic bgs) we already don’t have enough players for bgs anymore. Taking several regions out of those pools will be pretty devastating.
Noone forced you to buy 180 days and EPIC edition. You could buy standard edition and pay for two month sub every two months that is typical payment method for most people.
Minimal monthly wage in MY country is around 2000 (1850?) as well! My currency is worth 0.24 of USD~
600 is not 1000 but its neither cheap. Can I have discount too?
800 € = 5.666 Turkish Lira
Turkish Lira minimum wage in 2300 in Turkey.
800 € = 66 months Wow subscription
2300 Turkish lira = 27 months Wow subscription.
You are really brutal. It doesn’t matter anything in life. We are just trying to find out if a solution can be found here. I want to support you, but you are making the situation worse.
Is wow cheap?no it most certainly is not.Should it be?In my eyes no it should not, what you fail to realize thats what the appeal of the whole thing is.Hence why i made the car reference. You can go and play other things,or try on your side to make it work for you.
For instance i hate drm and the new games implement them all over the place i lost two ssd’s cause of it,and pretty sure WoW with the awful engine has some guilt in it too.So most of the time if i have a video game crave i go for the retro games with no drm.
Il just repeat again there are other people with also problems and countries with also low income and we dont get those threads from them cause they find solutions. Also you are forgeting the doors you open up with once its offered everyone would want to have adjusted prices for there country and the average salary.

My goal here is to look for a solution for everyone. If you have a problem with this, maybe you can find a solution if you support me. This is the situation in my country and my budget is not enough. I am happy for you if your budget is enough …
price tag says 12.99 euros month.
u one of those annoying ones who shows up with less money expecting a deal? “best friend price” or whatever
Blizzard have already given you a solution though, you may not like it but it is there. You can earn gold and use that to play for free, you can use gold to purchase the expansions too and you have until around September at least to get that sorted (5/6 months)
Sorry that’s not what you want to hear but it is what it is. The only way blizzard will change your payment to TL is if you have your own servers and I bet there just isn’t enough players in Turkey to make that viable.
They could move you off the EU servers and onto a different currency but I doubt that would help either.
Go the gold method, get the cheapest version of the expansion, you don’t need to bells and whistles to enjoy the content and fight for better in your country. I hope things improve for you over there but you have to be the change you want to see!

I work 5 days a week. my average daily playing time is 2 hours. If I try to earn only gold in the game, there is no point in the game. This is not a good solution. There are many games that solve this problem. Why wouldn’t Blizz find it? We can be happy if a solution is found and many players win. If not, it’s not the end of the world …
What is your solution then?
You pay less, all other pay full price?
We see this kind of thread pop up from time to time; but in all honesty; fix your own economy. Don’t expect the rest of the world to ‘come down to your level’. That’s not how things work. Sorry for the harsh answer, but it’s the truth.

But they have given you a solution, it isn’t on them, or on me or anyone else that it doesn’t suit you!

I hope Wow will never be F2P.
That brings a lot of harmful things to the games (Trolls, bots, cheaters, people without any kind of respect…). I believe we have enough of those, so please don’t bring more.
I’m fine with the subscription it’s the same price as Netflix which is pretty ok.

we don’t want anybody to fall to our level. You are seriously a joke. I already had the power to correct the country’s economy on my own. We are not the cause of the wrong policies. If I wait for the economy to improve, my grandchildren will play well. There are logical solutions. Like opening a country-specific server. Pre-registration is made. The server opens when enough players are reached. What will you lose if you try to find a solution? You throw a kick to the fallen person. I hope you will not experience this difficult situation …
