An ancient and obscure Pandaren dichotomy divides the defenders of Pandaria into two. The first is the Defenders of Earth, the village guards and Shado-Pan who defend the settlements and people of Pandaria directly from invasions and everyday threats alike. The second is the Protectors of Heaven, a more loosely defined group that can be understood as defending the ‘soul’ or ‘spirit’ of their people, safeguarding Pandaria’s future wherever the threat may lie.
Some feel that Pandaria is threatened by dangerous foes that must be struck before they invade the homeland. Sylvanas Windrunner is one such foe, as many whisper she is not only an enemy of the Alliance, but will turn on all life on Azeroth as well. Accordingly, it has been decided to form the Protectors of Heaven in service of the Alliance. While loyalty to the homeland always comes first, neutrality must be set aside to ensure that Windrunner does not win the war - for what if Pandaria is next to burn?
It is a tumultuous time, for the Protectors of Heaven will have concerns beyond the immediate fighting. Dread foes rise from the deeps, and even if Windrunner falls, what if yet another tyrannical Warchief is appointed to continue the cycle? It is only through vigilance that the homeland will be kept safe, though the aid of their Alliance friends certainly helps.
Greetings, reader! As the Wun Dynasty regrettably splintered at the end of last year, a niche has since been left behind for a Tushui guild. Tushui by allegiance but not always by philosophy, the Protectors of Heaven is a fully self-contained organisation that serves as one of the military arms of the greater Tushui people - both islanders and mainlanders.
While there is an emphasis on taking part in RP-PvP and RP-PvE campaigns to interact with the rest of the community, the guild will also organise its own activities in between. A strong emphasis on tradition and Celestial faith can be expected here, with activities ranging from rites to training sessions and independent field work. Additionally, honourable and professional conduct is expected of all members - while Pandaren are not as stern as many other races, the Protectors will still want to show their best to enemies and allies alike.
The future of the lore is currently hard to predict, and it is exciting to see what direction it will take the guild in!

Guild rules
On an OOC level the rules are fairly simple and intuitive, what you’d expect. No drama, no ERP, and so on. Additional IC rules are present, however, to facilitate the guild’s function. These are provided in an IC rulebook handed to all newcomers, and detail the expectations of conduct.
FAQ
What is the guild’s view on…
Outsiders? Views will naturally vary within the guild. The guild is only open to pandaren under normal circumstances, as is tradition, and it takes a truly exceptional non-pandaren to be considered. That said, the Ally rank is available for any who wish to accompany the guild regardless, but they are not technically considered part of the organisation IC.
Void elves? Naturally, with the Sha being perhaps the oldest of all of Pandaria’s ancestral enemies, the guild will limit its involvement with such powers. The void elves have been sanctioned by King Wrynn and will be treated accordingly, but as the Protectors intend to portray the best of Pandaria to the outside world, void use is not permitted within the guild itself (for similar reasons, neither is fel and necromancy).
Huojin? It is a source of grief for any Tushui that they must fight their own people. Huojin captives are treated honourably and are encouraged to abandon Sylvanas’ insane plans, and to leave the Horde. Many Huojin remain in the Horde to defend their newfound friends rather than any allegiance to Sylvanas, but if they choose to take to the battlefield (whether as her sword or her shield) they will be fought as firmly as any other foe.
Neutrality? The guild’s loyalty is to Pandaria first and foremost, and its pledge to the Alliance has simply been identified to be in the homeland’s best interests. Other pandaren are encouraged to take up arms and join the cause, but they are not viewed as any lesser for refusing to do so.
