Twilight Corrupter & Griefing

Twilight Corrputer is a boss needed for Scarab Lord. Spawns inside Twilight Grove in Duskwood. It is not a particularly difficult fight, simply needs LoS it behind one pillar. Here is the thing, what the other faction can do is have x10players with sappers stay dead at said pillar, rez–>sap…>AoE and wipe an entire raid.

On another note, in the same area World Boss Lethon is and this boss is an easy boss that is easily grief-able by any one with a taunt. Simply taunt during a switch when the raid is stunned and you wipe them.

A paladin can mount in pull boss -->Bubble–> raid wiped and get a 15min debuff that prevents doing that boss.

Are there rules to world bosses and quest lines or not?

I assume the rules are similar to that of normal world bosses:

You can wipe the opposing faction; but griefing your own faction is a definite no no.

It is but this specific boss has a mechanic that empowers it with ANY player death, using that mechanic to wipe a raid is considered a no-no by Blizz …

As long as there is a pvp solution, it is not considered griefing.

Same faction griefing on the other hand

think you should just get good. Horde on gehennas had a similar problem. except it wasn’t 10 players defending the boss, it was 100+. And horde still managed to kill it.

You are 100% correct, that is what the blue post said. My issue is with ‘PvP situation’ … What is the difference between same faction kamakazi that specific boss and members of the opposite faction doing the same? RP is the line?!

difference is, if you were good, you would be able to solve the problem.

The difference is you can attack a player from the opposing faction, stopping him from kiting the boss into your entire raid.
If he’s not on your faction, you cannot stop him.
See?

What makes you think we didn’t solve it? We did that is not the point.

then you just answered your own question. IF it can be solved by players, its not griefing.

No my friend, the boss is empowered by ANY player death, red or not to you.

on gehennas, horde just zerged the entire zone with 300+ players, lagging the zone so much that the boss simply wasn’t using his mechanics.

So if anti racism laws exist on the books then by your line of thinking racism no longer exists?!

imagine being so deluded as to think that rules in a video game work the same as rules in real life.

It is a game true, owned by a corporation that adheres to the laws of ‘real world’ …

laws that simply don’t applly to a video game. Your point?

So a player inside the game can threaten your life? Laws apply 100%!

its illegal to kill someone irl, its not illegal to kill him in a video game.

You argued laws don’t apply inside a video game, I just suggested one example where they do.

if something is illegal in a video game, blizzard has added it in their tos, so they can also take action, such as forexample real life threats. So don’t bother about thinking if this or that law is applied to a video game (because different laws in different countries, maybe in some country its not against the law to threaten someone in a video game…, its more logical to just use the tos to dictate your behavior).
