I have spent FIVE HOURS in torghast to do the Signs of the Lions quest and am getting destroyed by Decayspeaker. FIVE HOURS!! My prot pally has an item level of 195 and has done regular torghast at layer 8 on numerous occasions. During this attempt to get this event done have 120k health and ALL of the anima powers and am no where near close bringing it down. I ran through the place like it wasn’t there until Decayspeaker. I also looked on Wowhead and all you have is a group of players complaining abiut the same issues. What a mess, Please don’t waste my time with these ridiculous quests/events. Horrible
I completed twisting corridors layer 8 with a prot pallly of similar gear.
If it takes you 5 hours to fail a layer one then its you that needs to get better.
If you’re struggling with completing the run, I’ve heard that you can simply do the first 6 floors 3 times and get all the items for the quest that way.
You can do first 6 floors of layer 1 3 times to finish the quest. Layer 1 of TC has same difficulty as layer 3 of regular Torghast. So, if you can finish layer 8 of regular Torghast this should be easy for you and you can finish the quest.
May be ask in the Paladin forums for tips from other paladin players?
From my personal experience, there is usually is some build/strategy where you can cheese the final boss with a combination of Anima powers/talent selection. On my guardian Druid, I had tanky build and was virtually unkillable. On my Vengeance DH, I had a similar tanky build. On MM Hunter, I was squishy but I used tar traps anima powers to slow the boss and shoot from far away and boss couldn’t hit me.
This is true. If you’re only in for the quest, repeating the first 6 three times is quicker.
