Here’s a list of what i think would be beneficial.
1: One handed weapons should come in pair
2: You should be able to put 2 enchants and 2 imbues on each two handed weapon. Or the enchant/imbue you put on the weapon has double the effect. With an exception for fury warrior maybe.
And that’s about it honestly.
In eso they did this quite some time ago to close the gap, and it was a well received change, i think it would be good for wow too.
Since people asked for the return of more weapon types for each class, this should help lessen the gap between the two, by basically standardizing a few things.

Oh my days, this would be a big QoL change. Please do this Blizz.
I get super frustrated when I see a better Main-Hand/Shield drop when I have a staff. It is never the case that I’m going to get both a MH/Shield at a higher ilvl than my staff at the same time - so I often pass on MHs as there are other players who would benefit immediately whereas I’d have to wait for a Shield to drop… but then that Shield might be needed immediately by someone else.

Yea if anything can be taken from this, it would be one handed weapons coming in pair.
I care about the two handed thing too, but the one handed change would be very good.
It would require some sort of smart loot change though, but they already did things that are similar.
Technically yes… But imagine how broken it would be if I put 2 “Burning Writ” enchantments on my 2-hand mace, granting me almost 3k Crit stat for 15s when triggering (ofc this implies they stack)…
I would literally get 11% crit in one go and my current min/maxing with trinkets already allows my crit to jump occasionally from 33% up to 50%…
That is something that already happens on one handed weapons.
It’s just a matter of balance, and even if they left everything else untouched for paladin, it would hardly make them op.
Maybe it would boost them by 1 place at most.
Oh, you shouldn’t count on that. Depending on spec, Crit/Mastery can be pretty damn busted for Paladins.
Crit mastery is no more powerful for paladins that it is for dh or many other classes as a matter of fact.
In fact dh scales better.
In fact haste would probably be better for ret.
You can compensate that already with Crusader Wrath version.
Also, Paladin isn’t meant to be the best class. It is meant to be “just good enough for everything”
Edit: And by that PoV, crit/mastery is kinda busting the idea of Paladin in the meta a bit.
You mean crusade?
Even with that haste generally scales better.
Technically, yes. But each playstyle differs from person to person.
I don’t play Crit/Mastery exclusively because I enjoy it, but rather because I have a “not so good” 2017 gaming laptop that can’t handle that much CPU-load during large group raid content like World Bosses, etc. Hence why Haste would not work well if half my system lags behind due to my CPU-load.
There are more than one reason for choices being made by people, not just in my case.
I see, makes sense.
Still, it would hardly make ret op even if you could put 2 enchants on 1 weapon, or if it had double the effect.
The only one that may become too strong and require some balance would be unholy dk, because their enchants are really strong, and unholy is designed around just 1.
Well, each person has a different level of thought what counts as “OP” and what doesn’t.
Crit is like 3rd we want haste then mastery first
Yes. That’s basically ret stat prio.
Also to address another point, no, op is not a matter a opinion.
Something is overpowered when it’s considerably more powerful than other options, for example if dh were to do 160 k st damage while other classes did 80. That would be by definition overpowered.
Overpowered means it’s much stronger than other options, it doesn’t exist in a vacuum. And it’s not a matter of opinion.
Imo Titan Grip was a horrible idea in the first place, because it just made only using 1 2-hander looking less cool. It kinda destroys the whole purpose of having arms vs fury warrior fantasy-wise, and they definitely need to work on having a good way to distinguish these 2 specs.
I don’t see the problem, fury uses two 2 h weapons.
You complain about the lack of distinction, but if we only had single minded fury then people would still complain about the lack of distinction, only that it would be compared to outlaw or frost dk.
I don’t care about that at all. For me flavor is almost irrelevant, what i care about is gameplay. Fury is completely different from arms in terms of gameplay, the fact that both use 2 h weapons is irrelevant to me. In fact it makes swapping between specs easier.
i want dual wield as a surv hunter why is this not a thing ?
Thank god it’s not a thing.
Unless they allow you to select the type of weapon you want i will never be in favor of a spec being able of using more than 1 weapon type.
I don’t give an iota of a damn.
