Also faster levelling up to TWW
I like this idea
The experience rewards come from achievements for reaching level 80. Each character in your account with which you reach level 80 increases the experience all your other characters receive by 5%. Four other achievements in the same branch likely reward another 5% experience each, which stacks up to 25% total experience increased up to level 80.
We’ve seen it suggested several times on the forums. Maybe they do listen!
They removed heirloom XP and gave it us back. Why’d they bother taking it off us at all? Though I like it being here rather than on gear.
The heirlooms have felt pretty worthless since the xp gain was removed so it’s nice to get it back in some form. Even if we have to grind it out a bit.
5 % is nothing so give us at least 20 % or more…
You get up to 25% with multiple char, it’s quite a lot
I like the idea too, it is very welcome.
I would have preferred something not tied to achievements (like, 5% increase per character on your account/server that have a level >= to your current character, up to 25%. Would avoid needing 5 new achievement every expansion if they continue with it), but this is a good alternative probably easier to implement.
XP Boost is pretty neat for the altaholics out there.
I think it’s a pretty counterintuitive idea and I’m not really sure what exactly they’re thinking.
By the time this bonus really becomes noticeable you know you’ve got someone who loves levelling so much, cause they’ll have levelled 10+ characters most likely, that they don’t want this bonus. They wanna level.
Oh well, doesn’t affect me. I’ll be lucky if I see the 10% bonus.
Seeing this exact feature was suggested 1000 times on the forums over the years I’m 100% sure what they are thinking.
So why comment and exclaim your dislike if it’s not even going to affect you? Some people…
People make a lot of stupid suggestions that Blizzard implements with no understanding of why what they’re doing makes even a lick of sense.
This particular case doesn’t affect me, but these sorts of crazy ideas have affected me often. It’s also one of the only threads coming in today where I was sure there weren’t any spoilers lol. Wowhead at it again.
I just don’t understand how “gz you levelled 20 characters now it’s twice as fast” is something that helps anybody. Surely anyone who levels 20 characters is in a position where they have all the max level they could ever want, and now they’re changing the game for that person? Why? Clearly they love it the way it is. Otherwise they wouldn’t level 10 15 20 times. Jeeze.
Answer that to me instead of just saying “well 3746238483737484 people agree” and if it’s a good reason I’ll take it.
So no option for slow levelling if that is what you feel like? I guess I will hope they do more remixes and level alts during that so I feel my toon has some kinda story to them.
I level my profession army every tier, that’s at least 7 paladins. I do not enjoy repeatedly levelling. The first time is fun, the second is okay and after that I just want to get to max asap.
Nooooo, not this again. Leveling is already too fast. I love leveling. Locking exp removes the sence of progress and questing feels pointless. Why cant they make a toy or a tabard or something that makes leveling slower, for us who actually enjoy leveling? It would be so easy for them to do, but no, we who likes leveling is such a small group of people that they dont care to listen. Im so tired of this.
I appreciate this and when I just want to get a character through the latest expansion, it’s also good but… when I want to make a new character and do the old world again, take it slow… my only option is to cap my XP and deal with funky scaling or one-shot everything. It makes me sad.
I honestly think for those that want a slower experience they should make an anti xp tabard.
That have been overdue for some time.
Still doesn’t offset the negatives of raising the level cap again… Why did they even put the effort into normalizing the world and chromie time when it was going to be discarded.
Chromie time just gets expanded, so it’s 10-70 instead of 10-60. I think that system in itself works, although some complain they don’t get to see all the expansion before being ejected.
I don’t know if that’s due to too many side quests or whether there is too much main story now.
Still, the stat weights in the 60-70 range is going to be broken and need adjustments. And repeat when they add 70-80.
It would be more sustainable for them to keep a fixed max level and instead reset our level down, no squishing used.
Yeah that would be a better option, back to lvl 60 with all your lvl 70s chars and level 70 is the new cap.
Again going to 80, with item levels being probably inflated again towards the ilvl 580ish range.
And i think we do get a stat squish / number squish again else we will be lvl 80 and a arms warrior will have 1.5 million HP (i can get up to 850k or something with a fortitude buff right now)
