Tyrande was mean to me!

More like because he was forced to stay in Quel’thalas while the orcs burned his homeland and butchered everyone he knew and loved.

IIRC He was the only known authority after the destruction of Lordaeron

So he should hate on the Orcs then, just like any other old fashioned alliance hero/member.

He was a Grand Marshal in the Grand Alliance. His ‘new rank’ in the Alliance of Stormwind doesn’t have to be more than a Lord or so. I have never said he wasn’t a senior commander in the Grand Alliance…? The belves do have a history of betraying all the Alliances………First War…Second War…Third War…MoP……

immortal, inhuman beings should’ve made bad choices and suffered consequences years ago and learned from them.

Faefolk are capricious and dangerous, but I think the intended message IMO is to not deal with dangerous forces beyond one’s control

TBF the elves are fair-weathered allies at best, a negative sentiment among human members is not an impossible probability.

Why do they have to be able to learn from them? They have loads of advantages over other races, they can affort to make the same mistakes again and again without dying out. Doesn’t paint a very favourable picture of elves, but I fail to see why this isn’t the explanation that would fit the stuff we see in tha games best.

Who said that he doesn’t hate greenskin?

If does certainly portray them as arrogant, but various tragedies in warcraft suffered by the elves has at least humbled them somewhat.

That may be, but my original point wasn’t about them not learning anything anyway, but against the idea that their long lives would necessitate mature behaviour in any way, and that a lack of that would have to be a sign of bad writing.

I mean, I’m all for bashing the writing, but I like bashing elves, too, so I had fun defending the writing for once xD

Was about to rub my hands at the fact we have another Nightborne thread but I see that it has already gone off-topic, RIP.

TL : DR

Nightborne joining the Horde is one of the worst stories put into the game and has actively ruined Thalyssia’s character which they built up over Legion.

We’ll, I wouldn’t call it bad writing as much as rather a people in stasis.

And before any genius mentions Lightforged Draenei, they didn’t have a full zone and month-long questline devoted to liberating them.

I’d argue that the Kaldorei have been portrayed as the most ‘mature’ of the elven races, especially holding in high regard their sense of responsibility towards nature and the world around them. None of the other branches of the ‘Highborne/Kaldorei’ tree have been willing to sacrifice as much (Hyjal). To that end they might be the most responsible race on Azeroth imho.

Well…LF writing has been decent at least in that there wasn’t much outside of Argus xD

These guys would like to have a word with you.

Extra: Khadgar is listed as Alliance on the racial leaders marker on the right side. Thanks for the source wowpedia. Never fail to disappoint me

You’re right for once. Humans truly are the most respectful race when it comes to nature.

I don’t deny that the humans of the EKs contributed greatly to the stability of Azeroth, maybe the most in recent times but in the long picture they have yet to sacrifice as much as the Kaldorei did against the Legion. They were barely in the picture in the first war against the Legion.

Sees lumber mills I see…yes.

Chopping trees is not wrong as long as it doesn’t start to actually hurt the planet itself. The Iron Horde turned huge parts of Draenor into wastelands. Humans chopping down a few trees here and there isn’t anything wrong.

Nelves were involved in various world-ending threats before the humans came into power: the war of the shifting sands, the war of the satyr

Swathes of farmland and mass logging, compared to…lush forests that have possibly the highest biodiversity? Come on >.>
