UI Feedback

My main issues with the new UI improvements are:

  • Resource bar, let me have it just rage only, I dont need hp…
  • Player/Target frame is not editable with things like
    • remove portrait
    • remove power bars
    • make my frame class color
  • Castbar has too few options to change it, it’s still alright
  • Nameplates for tanks were an indicator of threat for a long time, in terms of:
    • green, I have aggro
    • yellow, I’m losing aggro
    • red, I have no aggro
  • Nameplates’ names are sometimes too long to know which mob I’m targeting, shorten them, or give such an option
  • Cooldown Manager is too limited in options
    • I would like to move specific buffs/procs around
    • Please make sure the bars are progressive instead of stuck in place where they are on the pick bar
    • Add an extra option called ‘Player Pick’ where we can track w/e we want by typing the name - like pots, procs, which you didn’t consider for a class
    • I should be able to edit each buff/debuff I’m tracking individually for timers, fonts, and more options on sound too.

I used to use a lot of WA/Elvui and other addons to track and make my UI look better. Although since TWW I started to prune it and I must say, I like it more to be less ‘addon dependent’, and I hate all this ‘NS update today guys, make sure you have it update’ angle. So yes, please keep working on it so your own options are comparable with addons such as BlizzBetterFrames, Platynator or Dominos etc. and you will triple your sales without re-adding Brontosaur.

there is an option (i can’t get into beta because the servers are offline now) to have only the power bar without health/mana

I have feedback for the new boss warning UI option with the new beta build of today.

Whilst I would use it when necessary, the fact that this timeline UI element is up all the time is jarring. When questing for example. It is jarring and distracting. Please give us an option for the timeline to turn on only during a boss encounter.

Secondly, this seems to have become the de facto UI feedback thread: maybe make it official? Like with the many other Blue threads for specific feedback, since UI is an important feature on its own.

I’d really appreciate more flexibility in how ability-ready information is presented in the UI. Right now the CM always shows all tracked abilities, even when they’re on CD, and addons can’t individually style or isolate them.

What I’m looking for is at least one of the following (I sincerely hope this will be considered):

  1. Allow custom icons or shapes to appear only when an ability becomes ready, using any icon I choose (like Art of War/Fingers of Frost-style proc visuals). This would be purely visual with no other custom logic involved.

Or

  1. Add options to the CM to hide abilities while they are on CD, detach/move each “ready” icon freely and add simple aesthetic options (glow, pulse, highlight, size scaling) to help the icon stand out when an ability becomes usable.

For me this matters a lot because I personally rely heavily on clear, distinct visual cues. Having a single noticeable icon appear when an ability is ready greatly improves my ability to react and makes the game more comfortable to play for me. I admire those who can comfortably process the tightly clustered information in the CM but physically that isn’t something I’m able to do. For years I’ve been able to play comfortably as described under 1…

I’m really concerned my experience with the game will be significantly impacted without these clearer visual options. Hope Blizzard will consider adding this.

Edit: Blizzard is already providing this partially (i.e. Divine Purpose proc for paladins, Art of War proc to notify I can use Blades of Justice, or the clear visual cue when a fury warrior has enough rage to use Rampage). I’m asking to expand this feature even further on other abilities of my own choosing.

Short Replay.

There should be a function to take full UI to other chars. Inkluding Colldown Manager , Bars and so on. Everything.

The only option I can see there is ‘hide health AND power bars’. Nothing else, unless I’m totally blind!

The ‘fix’ to stacking nameplates worked much better, but with a higher mob count, they still go below your screen and do not stack up correctly.

The aggro flash/fire effect is not well telegraphed; why can’t we have nameplate-changing colors?

You’re not blind, the option I mean is the one you mentioned. But contrary to what you describe, only the power bar remains (in my case with soulshards) and there is no HP/mana bar
