What about romanians, hungarians, polish, serbian, croatian, georgian, greeks, turks, kurds, gongolese, swedish, norvegian, nigerian, kenians and tens of other ethnics, what is so special or important about ukranians that they need special treatment? Ukranians can easily read russian and there is already russian support implemented so…what is the reason for this request other than rusophobic and politic? none.

I agree, and please add Romanian language as well. WoW realms are full of Romanian players too. Thanks.

They can also create a petition to Blizzard to make their languages.
Btw the Polish language already exists.

They didn’t before Russia invaded Crimea and Donbass. That’s not Ukrainians bombing their own people. Your argument is pretty much “why did the Red Army kill their own people in Stalingrad”

I support your post all the way.

Nice to see they are doing this

cool are you in poland or germoney?

as a dutch person i say:

Just use English.

but i also personally think that they should remove every language that isn’t english from the website and game. As humans we should communicate and work together and that is not possible if you put up barriers by all wanting your own languages.

yes or use ai to auto translate anything into english automatically (forced) unless ur on german or french or spanish realm

Greetings, Activision Blizzard!

Ukrainian players appeal to you.

Ukrainian players have always been active — in eSports, on YouTube, and in the gaming community in general. But the whole world perceived us as the so-called “CIS region”. In fact, the “CIS” is a Frankenstein’s Monster, made of pieces of countries that were once captured by russia. We were forced to be a part of this monster and the whole world ignored our identity. But it is not like that anymore. Now the world knows what Ukraine is. We have earned this at a very high price, at cost of our lives.

Activision Blizzard has already started the process of recognizing Ukrainian gamers by adding hryvnias to its store. It meant a lot to us and we are immensely grateful for this step. We ask you not to stop and go further, and add Ukrainian language to Activision Blizzard sites and the battle.net app.

The Blizzard website and the battle.net app both have Polish language. The area of Ukraine is two times larger than the area of Poland. The population of Ukraine is 6 million times more than the population of Poland.

The Blizzard website and the battle.net app both have Italian language. The area of Ukraine is two times larger than the area of Italy. The population of Ukraine is only 10 million times less than the population of Italy.

About 45 million people all around the world speak Ukrainian. It is one of the top 20 most spoken languages in the world.

Now it is the time to add Ukrainian language to your services.

Thousands of Ukrainian players hope for your support.

In case of necessity of the translation of your resources, you can contact Ukrainian translation organizations such as UnlocTeam or Shlyakbytraf. They

Thank you for your time.

Yours faithfully,

Your Ukrainian players.

I would genuinely would like to know, what is the actual population of the Ukrainian WoW players? The 40 million speakers are not the indication of the player base. My hard guess would be around 2-4 thousand at most.

Russian language has over 258 million total speakers worldwide. It is the most spoken Slavic language, and the most spoken native language in Europe, as well as the most geographically widespread language of Eurasia. Does it mean all 258 million speakers play the game? Of course not.

The Arabic and its different dialects are spoken by around 422 million speakers, and yet regardless of that, they are still forced to play in EU servers. So why will not we ask Blizzard to add the Arabic language as well?

On another hand, Turkish (Türkçe), also referred to as Turkish of Turkey (Türkiye Türkçesi), is the most widely spoken of the Turkic languages, with around 80 to 90 million speakers. Does it mean they need to add Turkish language as well?

Moreover, I know many Ukrainian players, who does not even know Ukrainian language, so is it even worth adding the language?

Because this thread is a one-actor’s performance who thought it would be funny to spam posts from different chars

From business point of view?
No

Haven’t checked it, but seems like the thread got flagged already.

Exactly my thoughts, but we live a days, where for expressing your thoughts and opinions, you will be automatically labeled as a Pro-Russian, and a Putin supporter.
