WoW Raids are the only reason that I pay subscription. The working together with people and overcome boss together with 10+ players.
But I’m saddened by the fact that 5 man dungeons are still relevant due the loots, even after the 8.1 patch. Blizzard upgraded the loots to them to keep players do them.
But why make Uldir obsolete? Uldir and this bosses needs some love too.
Blizzard. Can you treat Uldir Normal same treatment that you did to 5 man dungeons? Upgrade the ilvl loots so players might be motivated and more choices for gear progression?
And while you are at it. Please break the Uldir Normal raids into 3 wings. Just like LFR. To make the time you spent at each wing similar to 5 man dungeon.
Many thanks.
The guy that loves to raid but is sad with the fact that 5 man dungeon are spent more attention from Blizzard guys.
This is the first time since I’ve started playing that I saw a raid become obsolete so fast. I can’t even get in LFR to collect the transmog I want because nobody wants to do it anymore since better gear drops from literally everywhere else.
Isn’t IL inflation great?! I bet we will get a squish after this expac aswell. Ah the days in Cata/MoP where the IL would only jump 13 ILs between tiers. Now it’s 30! Complety normal where a fresh 120 is about 280-300 and with 2 tiers added in advance and 2 warforges we will end with 485.
I’m curious if the 2-boss raid launches at the same ilvl as BoD. As Preach told - it would be dead on arrival. And I assume with mythic race lasting hours And if that raid increases ilvl then other things must increase and so on.
When gear has only one power value then that inflation is crazy. Resistances aren’t a thing while it could be used to make tiers rely on it rather than sheer ilvl to farm from tier to tier.
I really liked Legion for this aspect of the game. Raid World Tour PuGs were awesome. There was so much incentive to do them. Chance for legendaries. Artifact Power. Quests. Pets. Mounts. Achievements. Transmogrification sets. Profession patterns. It was really good fun.
In BfA it doesn’t feel like there’s the same incentive to run Uldir each week. I find that a bit sad.
Yeah I remember World Tours were so common that people continued zerging EN and ToV up to the very end of the expac, but there is absolutely no incentive now to do Uldir.
I don’t miss Uldir at all, the design of that place wasn’t that great and most of the fights weren’t anything special. We had much better raids in the past than the Uldir. Even Wotlk Nax which was an relatively easy raid was better designed than Uldir, had better and more atmospheric theme and last villain in the end.
How about quite the contrary? How about Blizz stops replacing tiers/xpacs and actually make them expand the world.
Miss the time when a friend wanted to recruit me to the game in WotLK and once I joined their guild they were talking which tier is better for their class and such.
There was no current tier, the raids were released and they were addition to the game, not a brand new instanced content that is the only one worthwhile to do like raids today are.
Well. I grinded ilvl and made it to 382 before the new patch, which was quite a decent ilvl. and a week later, we already had ilvl 400’s. I kind of stopped caring about it afterwards. even my alts are around 380 now.
I honestly believe most of it can be fixed with lowering the titanforging warforging percentage. It’s like every 1 out of 3~4 drops is at least a warforged. Which is ridiculous. I mean i get the idea behind it. I don’t mind. I consider it a decent enough thing. But not when it’s this high of a drop rate.
At some point any raid or dungeon gets stale, it is good to have some time off it, usually ppl come back to raids later in an expansion, for transmogs and stuff, when you had some time for “recovery”.
I like to come back later on, others may feel the same way too.
Are you telling me that, since I suck and I thought let’s wait a few months to do the raid, so I can study the tactics in advance and get some good equipment first with no rush, I will have to go through hell to get those juicy xmogs I’m looking forward to even BEFORE the expansion is all but over?
Sorry to say, but Uldir is not current content anymore… there are other ways to get gear so prolly most ppl don’t do it atm… after having done it for months already , nothing against you , just what I feel from my perspective.
I mean, I’m fine that I don’t have to do the Legion raids in order to start the BfA raids x)
But yeah, I’m of the mind that raid tiers in the same expansion should NOT deprecate each other.
T34 should provide gear for T35 and that is the only thing you can do that will get you ready. No nonsense “catch up”. We don’t need catch up. A half-decent guild can handle 1 player being undergeared up to the edge of their progression. It is not that hard to boost a new guildie as long as there are no attunements. On the other hand, if you have just formed your guild with new players, damn straight you work through Uldir first.
…just like we used to. #nostalgia
For PvP seasons… have leagues instead. You have to start in the conference if you want to play in the championship, but there will always be plenty of competition within your league.
I can say that same to 5 man dungeons. They are not current content anymore. But still, Blizzard decides to elevate them to higher ilvl so players can repeat them again. And they are not even dropping unique gear looking.
Uldir has more reasons to elevate them too. Better ilvl and maybe make them into three 10 man dungeons with each wing. Same as LFR.
