Unable to use Dalaran Heartstone Toy

Hello!

I am unable to use my Dalaran Hearthstone toy on my level 70 Demon Hunter, Gadrus.

Things I’ve already tried:

  • Attempting to pickup the Legion starting questline via the command board. The Legion questline is not available for me.
  • Making my way to Dalaran via the Azuna portal and looking for any quests to help move me a long into Legion content.
  • Abandoned every quest on all other characters, just in case.
  • Ensured I have no quests that would cause zoning and prevent me from seeing certain NPCs.
  • To find Recruiter Lee at the Stormwind docks, he is not there for me.

Sorry in advance for being stupid, I’m probably missing something obvious. Thank you for any help in advance!

You have to use it from the Toybox page, and not from your inventory, which confused me at first too.

However, the things you have tried, seem to suggest that you are trying to GET the Dalaran Hearthstone, not use it. Can you clarify which is the case?

Are you trying to GET the hearthstone, or trying to USE it?

I have the same problem on levelling alts. What I did was go to Chromie. Selected Legion timeline and did the introduction quest until the point I got to Dalaran. After that the toy would work. Afterwards I left Chromie time again.

I can confirm that I already have the hearthstone.

I can also confirm that I’ve tried using it directly from the toy box and my hotbar after adding it from my toy box.

Just to also mention, I do not have one in my inventory, this character only has access to the toy version.

The Legion intro is slightly different for demon hunters as they have their starting zone as part of it. My guess is you didn’t finish the intro part in Stormwind which takes you to Dalaran.

According to your character’s quest tracker, you haven’t completed The Call of War, which should be your next quest in the chain

This was the fix, thank you very much!

As a note to anyone else that runs into this, even when trivial & warband quests are set to visible, this doesn’t show up on the in-game map as a quest. I was only able to see it by heading over to the Stormwind Castle gate and waiting a few seconds for Khadgar to phase in.
