Under water content has NEVER been good. Sinkhole delve

In over 30 years of playing games, I have never ever played a single game where under water levels/ zones/ content has been anything but a pain. Why o why do game devs insist on doing it again and again? Is it a blatant disregard for common sense? Or is it maybe sadism?

I like swimming.

You will have to go somewhere else then. Can’t swim in the Sinkhole.

I love underwater stuff. Druids can even use their travel form to breathe.

I liked GW2 version of underwater combat. There’s also some pretty amazing zones in WoW too, though most are older. I just get out my Subdued Seahorse and start using that since swimming is painfully slow.

As long as the fighting is on the ground it shouldnt be a problem

I haven’t done that one yet, but I hate underwater. I find the 3D-ness of it very difficult.

I have the fishing rod, so it doesn’t affect me.

Could do with the Sonic running out of air audio, the breath bar glitched on me today and disappeared half way though the delve.

That’s not really an issue here, since you can’t swim, only walk on the bottom. But its still a pain, since the estethic is under water, and it just feels uncomfortable and clunky.

They added an arachnophobia filter, which is weird, since that ailment affects about 3% of the population.
Aquaphobia, on the other hand, is much more common. Over 40%. But they don’t seem to have an issue with forcing that on us…

Vashj’ir is one of the best zones ever.

Its just a mini dungeon its not really such a big deal. Personally i like content like this since underwater areas looks nice and give some variation. I think the delve is meh tho in gameplay but so are most of the other delves tbh.

I dislike the underwater and the breath mechanic so bad.
I dunno why they like to induce claustrophobia…either making so many things underground or in the delves underwater too.
I can stomach even the candle thing. But the underwater is too much.
Also I have to adjust the camera so many times to see what s on the ground.

Well, you are not wrong. It’s a relatively small piece of content, so its not a huge deal. Its still a piece of content Im gonna be avoiding until I absolutely have to do it for some reason. And then I will be crying the whole time.

I agree, most delves are fine but Sinkhole can f right off. I’m at 595 and level 26 Brann now so the tier 8 delves are much smoother than they were in the beginning, but that one in particular is still a very tedious experience. As soon as I was done with it I logged onto my Alchemist, picked up Draenor Alchemy and Fishing, and made myself a bunch of water breathing potions. The damn air bubbles sometimes spawn inside the large purple areas that basically instakill you if you walk through them, it’s ridiculous. Whoever designed that particular delve must have had a rough childhood because they clearly want to see the world suffer.

Oh yeah those underwater ones are an absolute miss for me. Tried one tier 8 and walked out after 5 minutes.

Mobs could swim up but I couldn’t. Brann was pulling agro so they were chasing him and often swimming up above my reach. Of course they would stop to blast me with spells that would chip off 40% of my health. Which was obviously a nightmare.

Then to top it all off breath seems to drop SO quickly I was basically having to camp ontop of a bubble to maintain my breath. It was horrible. It’s not even like I couldn’t survive the mobs I just absolutely hated the experience.

They can absolutely go to hell.

Uhm, yes. I also hate playing video games…

Delves are about adventuring and adapting to unique situations while dungeons and raids are corridors. Of all the people you guys should appreciate some variety.

I quite like it, and didn’t expect to. It took me a run to realise that I didn’t have to fight the sharks that come to the pheromones, and even that I could switch to travel form to breathe, but after that it definitely exceeded expectations.

The pain is that the mobs do swim, which - as a melee - makes it annoying to hit them.
