Undermine is worst raid in WoW history and LFR is worst system in MMO

Nope, I walked out many times with 0 items dropped or traded from Raids with PL. There was no bad luck protection, don’t invent stuff.

Thematically it is pretty cool, but I agree with OP, the trash between bosses is really bad

Group loot drops are random, it can drop tier set that no one can roll, or 3 bows without any hunters in the group. PL drops for you, your spec, and you can’t get 2 items per boss. It’s more balanced

Nothing that can’t be fixed while keeping GL. System should be able to check what classes are present.

GL is more social than PL - shows the whole group what all of their team effort resulted in; PL made ppl think they have a personal right to items. No, it’s a group right.

Well in order to do that they need to restructure the system. PL worked like this, all raid members rolled and loot was generated for the people that rolled highest. GL works like this, loot is generated, then players roll on the items if they fit their class/spec.

Also idk if GL works like it did in ye olden days. The loot was generated per Raid ID, meaning that the loot was already predermined even before you reached the boss.

PL loot generation is certainly better, but they should combine both systems - I hated that with PL you had to scroll through the chat to see what even dropped - and ppl could “hide” it by not picking up an item. I want to see what the group achieved - and I don’t want to go through the hassle of advertising and auctioning the item that got dropped into my pockets without my consent; most of the time duplicates and the wrong items (which I didn’t want). GL where everybody can decide whether they want to roll on an item or not is far superior in my eyes.

I thought that for a while, but it was extremely rare to finish LFR in Shadowlands without loot. That’s why I had a wednesday morning habit of crunching it on my raid characters :dracthyr_comfy_sip:

But since DF it’s been super easy to walk out with nothing.

Feels a lot like the old system was weighted to ensure you ended up with something somewhere along the way, and the new one is always a 1 in 25 chance because everyone need rolls everything.

Again, it was very rare for me to walk with A item with PL. Its pretty much the same. The difference is how loot is generated. However with PL you also had the trading restrictions which were a pain to deal with and enabled armor stacking. And on the other hand, the problem with GL is that that it enables item selling because of no loot restrictions and cross server gold trading. Stop the gold trading and you remove that issue.

Tbh, LFR needs its own set of rules. Personal loot and no trading would do wonders for the mode and re-engage the players who’ve stopped bothering because they feel like they never win anything.

I’d like to see raids be able to choose PL or GL as well, defaulting to PL and with a big warning if the raid is toggled to GL after you join. Guilds will happily use GL with trading, pugs will probably favour PL with no trading. Both modes can exist, but neither mode suits all players.

I really don’t get why people are fixated on PL, but sure have it back as an option, alao ML which is only enabled as an option if its a guild run. Regarding LFR, you can even have it as a vote option, whenever someone decides to switch between PL and GL. However I don’t really see how this changes anything.

I never did. From a full clear I always got one item. Whether that item was a duplicate or not is another matter entirely.

You could even use it to predict if you had a chance at getting loot from there boss you wanted loot from. If anything dropped before it your chances of getting what you want drop for you was near 0.

It was certainly working like so up until DF.

Are you talking about getting 0 loot per wing, or from the full raid?

Full raid.

This, this is why this game gets the reputation it gets, toxic elitist trolling, gain self-assert at others’ expense.
Personally, I’d grant perma-ban for comments like this, because it drives players off (customers = subscription income).

Sorry, but MoP was amazing!!! You had to build 5 stacks of determination (wipes) in Throne of Thunder. Plus farm tokens to run personal loot :joy:

Do you think whiny entitled posts like your attract people?

Like, seriously?

Regarding loot drops, at one point I had suggested that LFR should drop 1 item per 5 players as Personal Loot, and then 1 additional item of higher item level (even as small as just +3) as Group Loot. This combined both worlds: everyone gets their deserved chance at personal loot, and at the same time some lucky player will get a slightly better (ilvl-wise) item.

It’s statistically less likely for a person to get loot in GL because people can win multiple items per boss

Yes, absolutely seriously.
I get 1 item of my choosing per full raid clear.
This change need to go into production asap.
Or, I follow that person’s advice, “this game is not for me”.
There is way too much thing to do except raiding LFR for a month for a CHANCE to get 2 items, which is not even better than other activities, which I dont like and wont do.
