While I am extremly excited for finally going to the Undermine!! Im also extremly sad and disappointed… Blizzard have always said they put in classes where it fits. And where better would a tinker class fit then in undermine like content?! I doubt there will ever be a better point to put in the tinker and i think they really missed to point here?
But what do you all think?
And do you think they could shadow drop tinker? (Long shot and 100% not happening) like they did aug?
I know that was only a spec this is a full class but one can dream

We did not get one for Mechagon, so I doubt it.
Never understood this tinker stuff. At this point why dont we have pit lord or sea witch class aswell?

Ohh i do too. Its just weird to me. I mean they have always said they put classes in where it fits and now its undermine AND mechagon gone. Dont think there is more stuff that fits with tinker left
Because tinkers have had a notable representation in WC2, WC3 and about every wow expansion…

Lol… well Tinker fits the lore and there has been tinkers for year’s. Even back in warcraft rts they where a part of the core
Other classes were also in warcraft rts, yet they arent there. Some of them also had lore aswell.
True but this post is talking about Undermine Tinker connection. What’s your point? I know there is loads more classes that could fit.

It’s pretty upsetting. It has been a highly requested class and it really fits the theme of the expansion.
It doesn’t even need to be exactly a Tinker, but a tech based class. Seeing machine speaker earthen and undermine, just like mechagon before it, gave me hope only to give way to disappointment. This was the time. The game needs this class. It’s a classic mmo fantasy that is not represented in class gameplay.

Looking over the wc3 heroes, pretty much everyone save tinker, alchemist, warden and crypt lord are covered one way or another.
Warden is a bit all over the place, it’s a mage/warrior/rogue.
Crypt Lord is a whole other creature.
While Tinker and Alchemist have no in-game representation as classes.

What armor type would tinker be? Aesthetically, looking at all armor types, none of the current armors go with tinker.
They would probably have to make everything unique from scratch, and knowing blizz, I think the chances of them doing that are slim, which is a shame ofc.
I’d rather Tinker be tied to Titan technology rather than Gnomes or Goblins, personally.

Mail armor. And you could say that about everything. Mail doesn’t really fit shaman either tbh. Shamans are spiritual leaders mostly clad in leather. So its not really valid. Tier sets is where that comes in
In one way yes but its more or less useless as a point against tinkers as tinkers are way morw then just bombs and though engineering is close its still miles off what tinker could be

Many mail sets absolutely go with the shaman, especially those made for it. The fact that it says “mail” is irrelevant, what matters is how they look.
Tbh I don’t understand why you hoped that they are going to introduce a new class in the middle of the expansion. What is so great about this class anyway? You already have two profession (engineering and alchemy) and a class (hunter) that fits the fantasy (or some part of it).
