Uninstalling until game situation is fixed

Hi community. Not gonna completely quit wow.

However, will pause it for around 6 months, because I see no point in playing this season, when some DPS specs are at least 20% stronger than my char, and have twice my utility in PvE content. No matter how well I play, even if I’m at 90%ile, they will contribute more to a group at the level I would like to play in. For me it’s non-sensical to play a game like that at the moment.

Additionally game is full of botters and cheaters in PvP with 30 minute queues.

Boosting also diminishes and destroys any sense of achievement one has for what they accomplish. The trophies are sold in the cash shop with the wow token.

→ I’m gonna have a break now until TWW releases, where I will decide if I keep playing based on whether these problems are still problems.

They need to put priority into fixing the blatant cheating, scripting, win trading, and Meta-abuse caused by their own design choices.

As said, ain’t gonna quit, because I do like this game, but every time I log in I think of this stuff and it gives me massive headaches.

Also, won’t play classic. I think I’m just done with video games for a while, and when I feel like playing something again, it’s gonna be Singleplayer Rpgs.

If you read my posts here, it’s clear that I like wow a lot mechanically and lorewise, but despite some of the fundamentals being good, the quality and integrity is just not there. I really do not wanna fully quit, but there are things right now with cheating/botting/etc. that are unignorable for me, and suck the enjoyment out of the game.

Every break i take last longer,i feel you and agree.
But personally only thing that keeps me are my collection which is in a way losing its value(atleast to me).

i’ll do the same soon after i got what i need as achievement .

unfortunately it seems less likely since they struggle with banning even the obvious bots . i heard that season of mastery also has bot problems which is sad because it was a brand new release. they need a big step towards preventing any type of cheating on every version of wow.

Aren’t boosting is very detectable?
Even then: every game has it, it’s simple ancient human thing - give someone skilled and experienced valuable thing and he will do task for you, for it to be eradicated you need to change human nature.

it’s not allowed in every game tho. that’s why other games has less amount of boosts .

President of wow is advertising boost via his Twitter openly.
Is there more to say.

Initially I was into PvP. The obvious cheating, etc. pushed me into pve. I realised that it’s the same here too, and most players seem to view wow as a nft collection simulator, where they buy accomplishments indirectly through the cash shop. A bit sad, but what am I gonna do. I’m tired of this, but I realise online games tend to be that way, so I think gaming in general is something I wanna pause now.

I will now return to my previous hobby, which was reading manga and going actually outside :skull:

maybe? i don’t know, i played ffxiv (much) and gw2 (a little), from what i heard in both games there are vast amount of people who complain about botting.
League of legends has boosted people, but it’s easily detectable through winrate and how they play, in the case of wow you can detect it too - parsing, number of clears, e.t.c

it’s not just detectability imo it just makes the achievements meaningless like the OP said, when i see someone with glad mount i don’t instantly assume they’re a good player , or the % title in pve. i just start to think if it’s real or boosted lol so they kinda lost meaning for me as well. maybe that’s why i don’t bother trying to get them

I kinda never bothered with what other people think about achievment, if title doesn’t sounds good to me i would never wear it, if mount is not for my taste i won’t use it. It’s just for the most part raiding and glad rewards look sick, and if they don’t i just don’t have motivation to work for them.
For example i see big potential for transmog in current warlock tier set so i have motivation to work for atleast heroic boss clears to then upgrade it to mythic version. I also want fyrakk mount

I’m happy if boosting curbed the Ego of those show-offs. I hate it when people gloat with group achievements, especially in a risk-free video game for children.

Just both is trash. Boosting also wasted my time as a player, because I was never really sure in M+, whose score is fake. Sure, Blizzard can sell many cosmetics, but I think achievements should be the things you have accomplished. That’s why I want MMR in M+, where people lose rating for failing, so at least boosted people will lose their rating fast, and mmr also means a lot of runs would be required until it’s somewhat stable.

Boosting in esports content like M+ and PvP should also be banned. Someone buying curve is still bad, but I could ignore it.

Feeling the same… as an SP you put in so much effort to still do less DPS than the more simpler classes to play, especially for AoE.

WTB Class Change service pl0x Blizz.

Even a faction change turns your character upside down. A class change would probably nuke the server too.

Why on earth would you uninstall the game if you are not permanently quitting? That’s madness man.

In before the reactionary whiteknight crowd trying to defame you for being a quitter out of personal dissatisfaction with the game.

Oh wait. One envoy has arrived already…

To empty space. I do always the same thing cuz my hd is tiny and im too lazy to buy an external one…
In fact with a fast internet connection could download wow in less than 2 hours.

Fair enough. Though I recommend putting it on an external device and then you just copy it over and it takes even less time

That’s what my fam do when we have reset/upgraded our operating system with a clean install. Just copy over from someone else’s PC.
