How will Blizzard sell you new lvl 68 boost on Firemaw, if they unlock you character transfer now?

This! Its not like we expect it to be a free transfer.
Still no news or nothing so this wont happend anytime soon, level a new one seems the only option. then some day out of the blue transferring will work. Pathetic…
If you sell boost first, but open paid transfer later you will have double profit. But if you just open transfers, people will just transfer their mains and wouldn’t buy boosts untill major discounts.
Want my alt for wotlk, but it’s stuck on razorgore. Don’t want to have to play on two servers, everyone I know plays on firemaw…

The only thing that made firemaw big was the 50-50 pop on a large server. Now with the horde exodus, firemaw isnt even biggest or second biggest server anymore.
Blizzard please react faster!

Devs, come on. I don’t even care if you have a reason for it or even if you don’t wanna tell the reason for not opening the transfers. Just give us some info if you are planning to open it or not. I will be posting this message every day until you decide to take a minute of your time and answer your customers who are paying your paycheck

The complete lack of communication is pretty sad. In my opinion, opening the server but not allowing transfers is the worst move as it doesn’t benefit anyone. Noone’s relevelling at this point. If horde wouldn’t transfer to Firemaw if transfers were open, they’re certainly not going to relevel to play here. Meanwhile tons of alliance are stuck on dead servers unable to play with their friends. Why are horde allowed to transfer to Gehennas, but we can’t transfer to Firemaw? Opening the server for levelling also doesn’t help level 1 spam and the other issues people who wanted the server to remain locked were crying about, so it doesn’t benefit them either.
I think it’s too late to do anything about the faction imbalance now. The best play would be to open all servers so people can play with their friends, provide free transfers for overpopulated factions on imbalanced servers to servers with underpopulated factions, provide an xp bonus to people levelling on underpopulated factions as a ‘get ready for wotlk’ incentive, and consider locking factions (if possible) just before wotlk, as the floods of new players would fill out the gaps.

This really doesnt make any sense at all atm, as Gehennas is a MUCH bigger server than Firemaw right now. Just open Firemaw transfers Blizzard

Ofc they are. They make tons of $$ on that.
Megaservers aren’t a cause. They are a result of server transfer availability.
Ofc. They need their $$ coming in. One way is much better then zero ways (as transfers are still locked).
That’s the way it has always been though, on the EU forums. Even back when Blizz was actually a good and liked company.
What I’d rather ask is how the friggin customer support doesn’t get any info from the devs so that they actually can answer questions?

Wrong, they are a result of Blizzard raising the limit to how many players that can play on a server. They were capped around 4k in the past.
When there are megaservers. Its natural that people wants to go there. Herd mentality.
And “thanks” to theese megaservers they cant deliver a proper Wintergrasp either…

Yeah, people will always flock to bigger groups, especially PvE crowd ruining PvP servers …
But blizz messed it up from the start, unlimited transfers, allowing mega servers …
If they locked servers right at the start when they were like 4-5K pop and allowed transfers only between unbalanced realms, whole situation would be completely different …
And merged dead realms instantly they drop below certain pop …
You could merge two monofaction servers, when each has 2-3K people … what are you going to do with Firemaw now ? Merge it with Gehenas, or 5 smaller horde realms and create 50K monstrosity with non stop lags and 18hour ques ? …
Spot on! Then there would have been Wintergrasp too done the correct way in WOTLK
Please leave us a reply or something Blizzard, im so unsure if i should wait or start leveling a new character and focus on that now… 
Seems like all this talk of wanting transfers open to Firemaw is just a ploy for RMT farmers to move bucket loads of much needed matts and consumes to Firemaw and make a gold premium on the high prices there.
