I expect you can but I’m not trying as you have to pay. If you want free you are out of luck I suppose.
Edit: I just tried and you cannot move to there, so I’m wrong. You can start again though. I have characters on Firemaw already.
If only they communicated this. I have a lvl 70 maxed out T6 char ready to transfer. Dont even care if I have to level a new one but at least just communicate this… I dont wanna spend all that time to level a new toon and just when I ding 70 the transfers open…
If you mean in the scroll down on the shop menu for transfers. It was already there but when u try to transfer you cant. I’ve been trying for 2 months now
Ofc hordes don’t want transfers available since they like 1% of the pop right now. Soon Firemaw Horde will be like Gehennas Alliance, you won’t raid, you won’t do dungeons and the economy will be so bad that you’ll want to transfer to another server. Sure, atm you still raid, but a faction with 1 or 2 guilds is just not enough. Maybe if they unlock the transfers some horde will come, who knows (I don’t believe this). Again, unlock transfers for those who already have max lvl characters on Firemaw and you have the problem of overpopulation solved. Think Blizzard is afraid if they open transfers that everyone come here since Firemaw is one of the 2 best servers atm. I don’t know if its possible, but I would allow people with max characters to transfer and lock the transfers for the rest.

Im in the same boat, i dont mind leveling anew and gearing that up and spending gold on it, but id hate for it to happen that i do all of that and then they unlock it…
I made a new post requesting information on this topic. I’ve been pissed about it all day and i cant put it to rest. If the server is to stay locked for along time, the least that could be provided is some simple information. It really isnt much to ask

That company is run by pure incompetence. Even putting out a news ahead that they will „soon close transfers to Gehennas“ was irrefutably dumb - Nobody could have guessed that this will creat even higher FOMO. But yeah „players fault“ for sure

also allowing bots to create tokens char but not allowing transfers

seems like blizzard opens up character creation when pop is below 1k. what ever happened to the old blizzard server system? putting a pop cap on servers and not offering so many free transfers? they are ENCOURAGING server hop behavior.
yep, as I wrote in another thread here. I am pretty sure root cause of this chaos is Megaservers (population) and character transfer options. Im sure the exact thing would have happened in 2007-2008 too if there were megaservers. We humans are like sheeps
I got this in a support ticket asking what the reason is behind only new characters and no tranfers, awnser is this:
Doing some digging here, and it does appear that only character creations were unlocked for Firemaw, and not transfers.
We, unfortunately, don’t have any sort of reasoning behind this, as we aren’t the ones that make these decisions at all! Your best bet for any updates or changes to this, would be that forum post where it seems a lot of people are sharing their opinions on things.
So, basically our only chance is to keep this tread up there in the hope Kaivax/Blizzard sees it and gives an update or info or something.

I apologize for any frustrations and confusion this situation has caused. During my investigation, I did confirm that it does appear the Devs updated the Firemaw realm to allow fans to create new characters on that realm, but the ability to transfer existing characters to Firemaw is still restricted till further notice.
Unfortunately, this is not something we Game Masters at Customer Support can assist with since this decision was made by the Dev Team and they are the only ones that can make this call to re-enable transfers to be done to that realm. I do reocmmend to post on the forums any additional feedback about this update so they can gather that feedback from our fans. Sorry again for any trouble this has caused.
So what they did was eventually opening way for new bots to be created and boosted.

This is what pisses me the F off. You finally get an answer from a Blizzard representative, and the answer is to try again on a forum where you DON’T get an answer from Blizzard, no matter what the topic is. How is there not a single employee, who’s job is to monitor and provide information in the threads on this useless forum?

Don’t be so dramatic. You may think the forums are pointless but they aren’t. They’re the best way to gauge what the community is currently discussing and what the general consensus is on things. Hell if it wasn’t for threads like these it would be even harder for these issues to be resolved to begin with.
GMs are Blizzard “representatives” but they’re also people. And you can’t hire “a representative” to monitor a forum 24/7 and have all of the answers all the time, because if that is their job, they’re not a developer, and thus they have no way to know most of the things you want to demand out of Blizzard. What you want is a taskforce of supermen capable of knowing everything about the game’s development, of knowing everything that’s going on in QA, and being able to respond on demand to every thread on this massive forum all day, everyday without rest. And I’m sorry to say Sèra but that’s just not a reasonable ask.
This isn’t even me defending them; I personally don’t have that much of an affiliation and I play another MMORPG entirely. I just think this entitled attitude only leads GMs to harbour a defensive stance against us and further widens the rift between us.

Ofc you can, they had back in the day. They are not necessarily expected to be oracles, but answer what they are able to answer, and try to find answers through asking colleagues in office or on some internal Blizzard forum or platform like Microsoft teams or whatever. Their customer support is absolute garbage, and trying to defending it is ridiculous. If the company i work at was this bad at providing service and information to our customers we would be done for a long time ago
