They aren’t the loud minority though, If anything I would guess that they are the overwhelming majority as raiders are rapidly becoming an endangered species due to the changes Blizzard have made.
I would also suggest that this move is in part a band aid to try and stem further sub losses prior to 8.2 since the game feels very stagnant currently and fewer and fewer people seem to be logging in or bothering with their chores as they used to do.
Personally I think these type of moves have been a disaster for the game in terms of participation and keeping people interested but I do understand why they are being made because Blizzard have to keep their new core following sweet. Remember, they are making more money from the small remaining player base than they were when subs were 10 million +
you can just take warlocks for ranged as they also stack passive defenses.
The result would be a group which has the healers sitting back and chilling out as they don’t need to do nearly as much healing compared to if you took some of the higher damage classes.
It’s like you never heard of mechanics that basically one shot, if not those special dks and warlocks, healers and tanks will die, and then the dks and warlocks. Heroic raid isn’t as easy as WQs, and the sheer proof is you got boosted to finish Antorus and you didn’t finish any BFA raids, if it was WQ level, you’d have em, and I’d have em too (well got uldir but you get the point).
And since you didn’t do Dazar’alor I’ll just throw 1 example, the golem before opulence nearly 1 shots with fire, and there’s a dot as well that healer needs to manage or person dies instantly, also that dot makes fire one shot you so yeah, just 1 example.
The issue is that there’s no new core, people who play WoW are people who played it before, I know a LOT of people that switched to pservers or wait until better changes, so no these changes do not help, it won’t attract new people, maybe few, but it’ll drive many away. You say raiders are minority, I disagree, I see tons of raiders around, and those who don’t raid, either pvp or m+. It’s very rare for me to see anyone who doesn’t do anything, so all these gear changes are bad for everyone except mythic raiders, so it’s the opposite of what you say, these changes to cater to minority which is mythic raiders, not saying they asked for it, but it’s how it turned out.
at what point did anyone ever need a guild for that? most people just PuG it every single week and it works very well since it is not hard enough to require full coordination.
hell if i installed dbm i would even do it 1-handed since most of the work will be done for me.
Let me elaborate a bit. By giving free gear to casuals you;'re ensuring they will never touch +10 cause there is no need to. Imagine if they removed LFR and normal and just switched heroic to normal and mythic to heroic. Once you hit 120 on your fresh toon you;'d have to run normal and heroic dungeons then mythic dungeons then m+s inbetween then uldir and then higher keys + current tier. It would require effort and people with decent gear would actually feel they achieved something within the game. Theres no gear progression. Not healthy one anyway.
This is why we have a community full of casuals who whine 24/7.
I never said I am good. Please dont manipulate the facts. I’d liek to think I am decent at my class but of course im nowehere close to top players as I simply dont have that much time to put in the game anymore. Thats why I’m not gonna play classic. I’d love to but I just dont have time to progress through all the raids.
