I think they missed a trick here with a mount that whilst not being unique model wise, would have been a popular choice: a hot rod like the goblin starter zone roller. Players have long asked for a mount like this in game. This would have been the perfect opportunity to throw it in seeing as the mounts aren’t SL themed.

yeah, on discord someone mentioned a butterfly mount as well (not moth, but actual butterfly).

Totally. A few I’ve brainstormed (personal tastes may vary and admittedly they’re quite gnome themed)
A mechanical “hamster ball” / rolling cage. Seeing your character sweating it out to give you that top speed!
A jetpack like in Mechagon, or helipack
A steam powered pogo stick
Mechanical stilts
An actual eagle mount
A penny farthing type bicycle
A tandem bicycle as a passenger mount
I so wanted the Tomb to win, but instead we get a bleeding tree… fudgin ell.
Suggestion for the Wandering Ancient; let it change it’s leafs/color depending on the 4 seasons, just like the ancient pet 
My first instinct was the nerubian, but after those uldum mounts I don’t think it would be original enough. Hitching a ride on a tree sounds better.
Soaring spelltome! Flyng on a book sounds interesting, but honestly whatever mount will have the most votes it is free mount indeed so i would never complain

The only way I’d ever use the ancient is if you actually sit on or hang onto one of its branches. None of that silly Gronn-type stuff where there’s a stupid saddle on it.

Well it turns out I accidentally voted for the ancient, clicked it hoping for more info on the mounts and there was no confirmation?
It’ll just be another mount people will use for a week and then you’ll never see again though

You’re right, the tome could just hover, in which case I’ll be extremely disappointed (or won’t because it is nowhere near winning LOL)

I can vote for a mount without access to concept art or previews, so what sounds good on paper might not appeal to me at all after it’s developed?
I might not even get the mount I want if a different mount gains more popularity?Literally everyone will have it, eliminating every sense of prestige and achievement from having the mount?
No thanks. I can see where they are coming from with this and I’m grateful they’re trying to get the community more involved in stuff like this but that’s way too many levels of frustration for me.
Can’t they develop all mounts, let us choose ONE per account, and tie it to an interesting questline? That would be so much more engaging, than a silly contest where most people don’t get the mount they wished for.
