Upon deletion of old toon on Gehennas i can't reroll any alt whatsoever

I had a second account with a low leveled warrior alt for resetting dungeons. Upon wanting to try out the alliance side on said account i decided to delete my resetting toon. And now i am unable to make any character whatsoever on the realm, since it is locked.
Does this system not track that i have had toons on it? here i am with a new sub paid and unable to make ANY character now.
sorry for the rant, but am i alone in this situation?

You done goofed up

No you’re not. I tried this aswell in Gehennas cause I wanted to reroll horde and only had alliance characters since launch day, when we all created toons for the name reservations. Looks like our options are either to wait for 100 years until the servers get unlocked or to start from scratch in a dead server.

i have made a ticket but i don’t know when it’s going to be looked at. hopefully they can fix this otherwise i don’t see why i would pay for 2 accounts when i can’t play one of them at all.

You should be able to restore it, if it wasn’t too low a level.

However Blizzard say " We will not assist with undeleting a character, even if it is still within the grace period."

It is not about restoring the character, it’s about letting us create a character from the opposite faction, since we had toons in the server in the first place. Yes, we technically didn’t have any at the moment we deleted them but this is quite unfair if you keep in mind the faction restriction per server. We created these toons during launch precisely to book a spot in the server, and now that we wanna reroll faction we can’t. The time between deleting the character and creating the new one was barely seconds, locking the servers for us from one second to the next is just ridiculous. Actually, locking the servers in general is just ridiculous.

Classic is about how it was not how it is in retail.

It’s the way it is, you didn’t mention you were changing factions anywhere.

That is just a bad attitude to have, would you prefer 5 hour queues?

Open a ticket they can restore your deleted character.

Who talked about retail here? The intention of locking servers is to prevent new players from overcrowding the already full realms. Having a toon reserving a spot in it since August means I’m supposed to be able to create new characters in that server as I already had several before it was locked, and the algorythm telling me I can’t anymore because I’ve been literally 1 second without any toon there is just stupid.

:

.

I prefer having 80 layers than locking new players out of the crowded realms. Probably their worst decision so far.

I prefer to be able to make my character instead of being locked. They should have added a 1 day CD for making a new character instead of instantly locking me out.

Can you go back to retail already, since that’s clearly the type of servers you want to play on?

Unlock the servers like you did on NA pls.

Since Only retail allowed (Past tense) you to make characters of both factions on a PvP realm, you are.

So you know, as soon as you delete the one character on a realm, you have no characters on that realm so if it’s locked cannot make any new ones.

And who’s talking about creating characters from both different factions in the same realm XD?? Can you even read? I’m ok with the faction restriction. The point is this problem doesn’t exist in unlocked realms so basically the post is another complain on how much of a silly decision locking the servers is. Specially related to those who booked spots back then and now can’t switch faction because of the locking.

Stop putting words in my mouth lol.

Except it’s not a “silly decision”, it’s designed to let more players log in at once.
Would you rather have 5 hour queues or a locked realm?

But to do what you wanted would need you to have characters on both factions. As I said, once you delete all characters the realm is empty and the locked status comes into effect. Even if what you wanted to happen happened then you couldn’t have made characters of the other faction as it would take any deleted characters faction into account.

locked is locked and it’s either all or nothing.

Except, in fact, it is a silly decision. It’s designed to redistribute newcomers between servers they don’t want to be forced to play in, resulting on a lack of leveling characters in the locked servers and a depopulation since we don’t get new players, friends can’t play together, no one is out in the world doing anything apart from the weekly log to raid, etc… So yes, it’s a poorly designed action to deal with queues.

I already responded to this, confirming that you just can’t read.

No? As the OP said some posts ago it would be enough adding a time cd for making a new character in the realm, wouldn’t even need to be a 1 day cooldown, 1 min cooldown would be enough to just make a new random toon and BOOM, you have your reroll and the problem is solved. Or even easier:

Unlock the bloody servers.

I’m not sure what’s worse, the fact you think Blizzard read these forums or that you think your opinion will make a difference.

My opinion about unlocking the servers is the same as almost everyone in Classic forums and in the game basically, in case that you didn’t notice (as with so many other thigs). And no, I don’t think B will listen to the community, they will just keep the servers locked. My first post was to tell OP there is more people in his situation, not even to complain, you’re the one who started the whole thing because of your poor reading comprehension.

open ticket,be polite, get sorted.forum has no power to help you here

Well, I guess Blizzard just has had enough of people with 593 useless characters, that take up memory, virtual memory, slot on the server creating a queue, etc.

Locking a server is a good thing. Best thing to happen, actually. I’d be all for 1 person = 1 account rule enforcement, because we have enough bots in both Retail and Classic as it is. And imagine not being able to create a new account, after the first one was banned. Well, a man can dream…
