I wish the next SoD will be Vanilla with TBC class design, rather than just TBC.

I’d like some novelty though. New content, new abilities, nothing too overpowered like SoD.
Importing abilities from later xpac to Classic can be cool too but at some point let’s be creative.

I am confused. Your sentence implies there will be “next SoD” and that it will supposedly be “just TBC”. Can you clarify what you meant? Any developer statement regarding this?
at this point I’m a bit bored of vanilla in different sauce. SoD has been a fun journey but honestly I will move to retail or any other game before doing this all over again unless there is a more profound variation to content and not just class stuff.
Yeah, they went too far with SoD runes and that’s why I asked for TBC classes, that are just an upgrade from Vanilla, that made classes / specs playable.
I realy hoped that we would be able to convert a meele class to a DK when hit 60.
I made 2 paladins just incase it would be inplemented in SoD.

Can’t see it ever happening, and think the talents/classes might be weird locked at 60, but “Vanilla but with the more balanced classes/specs from TBC” is an obvious ask down the line.
Was kind of funny how in 2019 or so you had all these threads of the optimal classic raid comp is going to be this “relatively” balanced sprinkling of everything.
In reality its 20-22 warriors, 5 Rogues, Priests and Paladins/Shaman, and 1 Mage/Warlock/Hunter/Druid. There’s no way Blizzard would have left balance where it was if Vanilla was meant to go on and on. But because that was the final patch before TBC, its somehow been frozen in amber on private servers and then for Blizzard.

Yes! TBC class changes were mostly good, and not too far like Wrath of the Lich King.
