Has anyone here actually done it? I never manage to make it. If i don’t kill a warlock on an opener i walk away a bit to bait the death coil and if he’s bad he throws it out and i vanish it.
But if he’s good he won’t coil until i start attacking him again and i just get coiled and the fight becomes 50/50. Does anyone here know if you can actually vanish death coil point blank? It feels like batching would make it possible but i just can’t do it. This is triggering my OCD.
Shadow bolts can also be instant cast if there’s a proc, the dot animations are pretty much the same aswell and if it’s point blank you wont see the projectile to know the difference
With Classic I’ve mained Warrior this time round as opposed to my usual go-to: rogue. with rogue, everything being instant cast allows for a lot of individual flair, style and skill on the rogues part when in PvP. It’s all prediction, action and reaction which all boils down to reading your opponent. like through wrath how I’d watch in awe at how rogues could vanish blinds and blind vanishes. did they have the reaction speed of a god? or was it simply how they read they’re opponent. now I’ve not played anything rogue here on Classic yet so I can’t argue, but I remember watching Akrios in wrath vanishing point blank coils. (actually like all the great rogue players of that time, they vanish spammed everything they could lol) one in particular he’s dueling outside UC.
you said you vanish the coil at distance but that’s because you bait it and know that there’s a high chance that it’s coming your way. you played the lock into doing something that he thought was his idea, and beat him at it. prediction (you) action (him) reaction (you). the harder part is keeping up that mindset through out the flow of every fight.
10 yards is big enough of a distance to react to pyro. Unlike death coil, that has half a second (or so) delayed animation, which makes it almost impossible to read.
