Vault STILL has to go

Its insane we still only have this illegal gambling game to get mythic track from m+.

In Legion we had titanforge, which meant you can get mythic ilvl midweek as well anytime and the weekly Grand Challenger’s Bounty chest was just a bonus loot, not the main source.

The vault, which is supposed to replace the fact that those dont drop from the content itself anymore:

  • is hard capped, once a week
  • we have zero control over the loot table
  • might drop trash every week and you cant do anything about it

Zero progress since SL and it was this bad, even back then.

+12 should give mythic track, each dungeon with 1 chance every week as a push personal loot.
Vault should never be the main source of loot for m+, but something additional if anything, exactly the way raids work.
It is high time to correct this disparity.

Lmao. Give me a break.

Didn’t you know? WoW is a gacha.

lol

Nor does it have to be the main source now

Just like everything else. Also, at worst you still get upgrade currency.

Totally not true

Define illegal . You are just throwing words .

vault became dumb when raiders also got a vault.

it was ment for a mythic + system to get max level gear. now raiding is just superior in every single way.

Considering you can farm M+ vs a single lockout per week…

you can farm all the m+ you want but you get 1 mythic piece at random per week. you could potentially get full mythic gear in 1 week from raid.

see the difference?

Raid is defenitly not superior haha

I’m fine with that. You’re guaranteed mythic gear, of 3, with the vault.

You can be unlucky and literally not get any drops in the raid itself for weeks on end… and to get Mythic Raid vault slots you’d need 6 mythic bosses down for all 3… M+ is a fair bit easier to get the vault done.

Fact of the matter is it’d trivialise Mythic Raiding if you could farm Mythic Gear via M+

I hate vault with every ounce of my being. Today I chose the token instead of any of the 6 hero track gear It offered. Most of the time the gear I get is completely useless.

the biggest fault is that mythic gear in raid and raid vault is higher base ilvl than m+ so you also save crests. which is the real gear cap system.

Not illegal, not gambling.

Ignorance reeks of this comment

Except it is. How else do you get mythic track gear from m+? I am all ears.

But everything else is not a single weekly item on reset and certainly not against such a huge loot table were half of the loot is literal garbage.
Upgrade currency lol, yeah I guess socket should be equal to a missed mythic track item…

How is vault any less useless than it was in SL?

and

I am happy you found the essence of the post, like the only part you can actually comment on.
It may not concern you since you apparently dont do any m+, let alone higher than 10, but then I wonder whats even your point in a discussion about m+'s loot issues?

Honestly I would not care, since raid loot is scarce as it is, but it if raiders can have vault, then m+ should also have an option to earn mythic items midweek as well, in a controlled manner, rather than this vault garbage.

M+ only has the vault at Wednesday to get any mythic track items. If its bad (and its not hard with the amount of trash loot dungeons have this season), then you are done for that week, zero progress.
You can run your 8x10 all you want and still have the vault full of duplicates or outright downgrades with quite good chance, especially as the season progresses ahead.

Indeed which is exactly why I did not ask for that either.

What I would like is rather that each dungeon to have a chance to drop mythic track gear on the first time you do a +12 or higher in there.
This would be push personal loot, automatically soulbound, so ppl would not have to care if someone did x dungeon that week or not.
It would finally provide similar chances to what the raids already have with the vault + the bosses.
It would be a chance against that exact dungeon’s loot table, not against the whole season’s loot table.
You could get unlucky with that too, but still at least there would be a point to play midweek as well, unlike how its now, where we are pretty much at the mercy of the vault now.

We have crafting now which gives near max level loot. I got a 675 two hand weapon for doing pretty much nothing.

The Vault is basically free loot you get for just playing the game.

M+ supposed to be an endgame pillar, same as raid. Yet atm m+ players need to pray an rng slotmachines to get the best upgrade.

They should introduce an extra weekly cap for mythic item drops for m+ too, similar to delves. For eg each on each week, your first 3 completed +12 runs has a chance to roll a mythic base item from all m+ loot pool.

Raiders can have back the token rolls again, used on the defeated bosses they choice.

If you mean the 2 fortune crafted items, yes, but that is a neutral gearing option.
M+ itself is still carefully confined to the vault when it comes to mythic track gear which is just wrong.
It also does not address the fact that raids can drop mythic track gear midweek as well, in addition to receiving vault loot, while m+ lacks the midweek option completely.

The vault has already failed its purpose in SL, so its beyond me, why is it still the only loot source for m+ even when its painfully obvious that it could not replace titanforge at all and it made gearing a weekly waiting game after you are done with the hero track items.
If only there was at least some basic sensibility implemented into its algorithm, but no, we are still hard stuck with the failed SL system for some reason.

Or touch grass

That, too, should one feel so inclined

You didn’t make a post about “m+ loot issues” though, you made a post about “vault still has to go” and then called it “illegal gambling”.
Ofc you may not be aware that not only m+ players have access to the vault, just like you’re apparently unaware anybody can participate in a public debate, and while I’ll fully support your partition that the vault shouldn’t be for m+ players - let’s give that to the pvp’ers -, I am going to point out it’s neither illegal nor gambling, and if you think so you could benefit from logging off from the game and do something else with your valuable time.
