I love the idea.The only thing I truly loved in Sl were the venthyr and Sire,lorewise.I would very much like a return from both.
The dialog,the aristocracy were amazing.
I don’t feel the entirety of Sl should be forgotten,maybe only some parts:
Like the looooong empty patches,the lack of gear in Torghast,all of the robot ZM,what happened to Arthas and the Jailer(another one of the robots mentioned).
But Sire D. Remornia and venthyr were really catchy.Well entire Castle Nathria/Revendreth was.

Venthyr are cool & all, but id rather have those brokers as a playable race.
Now those guys are cool!

Race that literally dies if exposed to sunlight found in Elwynn Forest. Doin’ alright!

On the next episode of complete lorelols: Playable firelord!
Classes: DK, Mage, a bunch of other things. Spec frost for epic lulz.

Well I didnt say you cant play it in all zones…Maybe I wasnt clear,those could be their starting zones.
I am sure they couldnt be any worse than the draktyr…
Btw I am not trying to offend anyone that plays one,but they kind of appeared from thin air too,so why not another race that we already know,aka Venthyr.

Why wouldn’t they be playable in all zones though? I mean as soon as they throw on a hood and cloak that’s apparently enough for them to handle the light in Revendreth. Seeing as being protected from it is that easy, it’s not really an argument that works.

Well, let’s agree to disagree on that. I think it’s a solid argument to not run around blowing up the lore 24/7. I mean it’s already pretty catastrophically blown up but it can be recovered. Every step in the wrong way is another step to clean though.

The light in Revendreth is nothing compared to the light in Elwynn. Not even that place where light shines to torture people. Besides, killing players with the wrong transmog to avoid a lorelol is hardly an improvement.

" Venthyr find exposure to the Light extremely painful. If a venthyr is exposed to the Light for too long, they’re driven mad and eventually becomes an ash ghoul. "

It further goes on to state however, " The Light is not normally lethal to venthyr "

So it’s somewhat ambiguous to a point. This goes even further during the campaign available to Venthyr, when you are tasked with travelling to Bastion at a certain point during the progress.
Worked it out yet? What is in Bastion? oh yeah…er… that good ol’ light you just stated as the sole reason for not being playable. It’s by far the BRIGHTEST LIGHTEST ZONE IN SHADOWLANDS

The lore has deviated beyond recognition in some areas , isn’t consistent, and to some has been stamped on beyond repair. This is the basis of you not agreeing they could become an Allied Race

I would not mind if they had their own class too…A blood thirsty dps,with some powers like the Warlock has Drain Soul,it would have drain blood…
Imagine a fangy vampire biting necks…
After all at least they would be mega cool compared to other lore manipulations that happened.
Robots really…and people are against Venthyr hmmm…

I think getting the race into the game as a playable Allied race should be our first priority :bat:

Once we have that…
Then perhaps we can discuss our true plan
