Void elf Customization are revealed!

This thread lost its original topic a long time ago now :stuck_out_tongue:

You can have Dark rangers. I don’t see anyone complaining. I think it’s a great idea. But please let’s keep the topic relevant. If you want Belf customization, make a thread.

Void Elf skins aren’t Dark Ranger skins though. Dark Rangers are a Hero class like DKs and DHs, so it doesn’t really translate either.

A better comparison in this case would be asking for Blood Elves to get access to the same number of Void Elf customizations as they get Blood Elf ones. That’d be a fair trade.

Actually, considering that Void Elves get non-tentacle versions of their hair styles for BFA, you could port all of those over to Blood Elves. They’re not existing BElf hairstyles (though some of them are similar) but are actually proper VElf ones just without glowy tentacles.

Sylvanas is pretty purple.

If The Horde disagreed with giving Void elves the belf hairstyles in the fear they would look very similar, what makes you think giving Velf hairstyles to belfes any better?

Lore wise it doesn’t make sense either for Blood elves to have void skin if Lor’themar kicked them out.

Meanwhile Void elves like Alleria can have normal skin, not to mention new generation High and blood elves joining the Void studies.

So this makes sense. And I’m personally happy that Void elves didn’t get Green eyes, there needs to be some differences.
It’s as if most of the stuff they got are actually High elven and not Blood elf, merely for a few normal skin color. Which I still can’t see why we need to get “even”. When they give us blood elf hair, hair colors, and green eyes ONLY THEN will I understand her “getting even” point.

It seems horde players focus more on revenge or “getting even” than actually focusing on suggesting customization for their races. Again I find it ridiculous that you are arguing here, when you could create your own thread asking for what you would like to see added for Blood elves.

Make a list.

“I would like to see Farstrider tattoos, Dark Ranger stuff, Red eyes, etc”

But arguing here on “getting even” sounds very childish to me. Instead that time and effort could be used on a thread asking for blood elf customization. Blizzard does listen, that’s why they added leaves to the night elven hair like people asked.

Not to be considered much seriously since it’s still early and we will probably get more Void Elf options in the future, but, Shadowlands options.

From what i checked in the WoWhead beta dressing room:

  1. Skin tones
  • Blood Elves: 14

  • Void Elves: 6 + 14 = 20 (assuming they just copy them over, which i, with 90% of certainty say they aren’t, i expect about 12 to 16 skin tones in total)

  1. Hair colors
  • Blood Elves: 13

  • Void Elves: 8

  1. Hair styles
  • Female Blood Elves: 25

  • Female Void Elves: 11

  • Male Blood Elves: 21

  • Male Void Elves: 12

  1. Faces
  • Blood Elves: 10

  • Void Elves: 8

  1. Earrings
  • Female Blood Elves: 14 x 2 = 28 (Gold and Silver)

  • Female Void Elves: 5

  1. Facial Hair
  • Male Blood Elves: 13

  • Male Void Elves: 8

  1. Eye Colors
  • Blood Elves: 16

  • Void Elves: 7

  1. Ears:
  • Blood Elves: 3
  • Void Elves: 1

Stuff Blood Elf females are getting and Void Elf females don’t have:

  1. Necklaces
  • 3 x 2 = 6
  1. Bracelets:
  • 3 x 2 = 6
  1. Arm Jewelry:
  • 1 x 2 = 2

Total:

  • Female Blood Elves: 123 options.

  • Female Void Elves: 60 options.

Blood Elf girls have 63 more options to choose from than Void Elf girls, that’s more than twice the options.

  • Male Blood Elves: 90 options.

  • Male Void Elves: 64 options.

Blood Elf dudes have 26 more options to choose than Void Elf dudes.

You can give Void Elves 60 more customization options and that still wouldn’t be enough to even things out.

I’m wondering were the idea that Void Elves will have way more options than Blood Elves is coming from, even though it’s still early and Void Elves are going to get their attention together with other Allied Races at some point, i doubt it will be even close to the number of options Blood Elves have.

Again.

By giving Void Elves every single Blood Elven skin tone both new and old (and this is confirmed so you don’t have to contest this) they are effectively turning that race into a superior version of a core Horde race. It’s not about individual options or the number of them because you’re still set to get more in later patches. The issue is that Void Elves now have more thematic and aesthetic variation than we do despite being an allied race on the opposite faction. That’s a problem and unfair to many of us.

Secondly the feedback on what we have seen so far for Belfs has been mostly negative which sours the mood even further. Many believe that the artists missed the mark by giving us nothing but these elaborate pieces of jewelry that will either be hidden by armor or clash terribly with it when we do display it. We’re also not getting anything at all in terms of facial customization which is arguably the most important and visible part of the body. No scarring and no runic tats which have been an iconic Blood Elven feature since day 1 of Burning Crusade. The hair styles are also pretty low effort when we already had so many short to medium length options to choose from.

I’m certainly annoyed that they are ripping off Blood Elves to the extent that they are but I’m more upset that we are not being properly compensated for it.

And I fear we won’t ever be.

Tbh just give them the high elf hair color before the pre patch (and yes I mean why the hell not? They are already in the rift so it would make sense to give them those hair colors.

That’s a pretty bizarre stretch. How do you figure that having more of one kind of customization but fewer of all the others makes them “superior”?

If it’s that big a problem, just play a Void Elf.

With you I can talk :3

Because you’ll have more aesthetic variation now.

That’s the thing. They only borrowed the belf skin to creat Helf looking elves.

That explains why they only got Blue eyes. There is no borrowed Hair color, no borrowed eye color (because blue is high elf). It’s all in the means to make them look slightly high elf.

If you want to see more blood elf customization, suggest it. This is what everyone is doing since day 1. Give feedback on what has already been shown in customization. Make a thread. I just think it’s silly the idea “to get even” based on skin color borrowed to create “almost” high elf looks.

You guys surely got the cooler stuff, and I’m sure more will be added. This is beta. And if you think about it, with the blue eyes and blonde hair, blood elves look more like High elves than void elves could even dream of.

Void elves only look “slightly” like them because of the purple/blue hair colors we have. Again, I don’t see the “getting even” part.

You just gotta ask for it, instead of complaining here.

Tell me what does it matter if the void elves get high elf hair colors? They are not stealing it from the horde because high elves are already in the rift.

I fear it’s too late to offer any more feedback. Blood Elves already got their pass and any more will just be, as someone put it: icing on the cake but without an actual cake.

Srsly blood elves will get more things later we are just asking for some hairstyles and Hair colors (If possible some tattoos and feather jewelry) And I mind you who said they need to be from the blood elves?

That’s mathematically incorrect.

Void Elves would have 6 more skintones but 60~ fewer customizations overall, as Landrien showed above.

Sadly he/she is wearing blinding glasses.

It’s not too late. People are still suggesting stuff for the Undead, because most aren’t happy with the “living” customizations they got. There is still Months until Shadowlands comes.

You obviously don’t get the point I’m making. The issue is that you now have access to two aesthetic themes while we’re stuck with what we always had.

You have blue eyes tho…
