Void Elves should get Blue eyes in Shadowlands

is it thinly veiled high elf thread?

Moreover, in one of the Q&A someone asked will they improve the customization for allied races as they lack in the customization Ion said yes

Yes, but the Void Elves would need a way in lore to replenish their numbers. Because they do die in combat.
The reason Alleria maintains her original appearance though is because she wasn’t forcibly changed.

And we see High Elves and Blood Elves in the Telogrus Rift, studying the Void.
Presumably these guys are the 2nd generation of Void Elves.
Problem is, that these guys should look normal, because no one is forcibly changing their appearance as is what happened with the 1st generation of Void Elves.

I’m not saying Void Elves should be able to look exactly like Blood Elves or even High Elves.
It wouldn’t make sense for Void Elves to have green, golden or bright blue eyes.
They’d still have the pale white’ish blue eyes, because of exposure.
Similar to how Blood Elves got green eyes in the first place.

I wouldn’t expect all the different skin tones that Blood Elves have access to either, 1 or 2 “normal” skin tones would be fine.

Then stop posting here nonsense? I mean, at least two person gave you an explanation and yet you are STILL posting here, despite writing

The edgy 17 year old seems to be you people who are so eager to force high elf down into alliance’s throat regardless of how much sense it makes.

like i said. You can have your blue eyed light skinned void elf. It makes less than zero sense lore wise or storywise, but you guys don’t care about that part anyways as long as you get your high elf look.

I don’t care enough to argue anymore. Have fun.

I posted again to give a response to the other guy. thanks for pointing it out so rudely.

My DH is a belf, can my DH get blue eyes please?

Actually that’s not true. The Golden eyes is a result of the Sunwell being infused with Muru’s spark, turning it from a font of Arcane to a font of Light (with Arcane mixed into it). The Light aspect of the Sunwell had more effect on their eyes than the Arcane aspect, as the Light is a natural counter to the fel, it had more effect on cleansing their eyes from the fel-tainted green into the current Golden than the Arcane did.

Yet we have not seen any blue-eyed Blood elf since the Sunwell was reborn, so if they were using it for years now, why haven’t they returned to their original eye coloring? Instead of the new one? Besides we don’t know if they can draw upon a single aspect of the Sunwell without drawing the other.

Which Blood elf has blue eyes? I’m actually kind of curious.

Can we get red eyes for DKs as well? I mean that makes sense in my opinion.

You are correct here’s the question and answer:

With these new customizations, will we see improvements to customizations for Allied Races as well? What about Death Knight customizations?
So, with new character customization, we are focusing mainly in the original races, not allied races. we are able to apply new customizations to them, like separate the eyes from the rest of the models, with the help of the Technical team, so you have more options to choose from. We are not touching Allied Races at this time, we are focusing on the main races. There are no plans to expanding custom DK customization at this point.

There are blood elves with blue eyes and they’ve been confirmed not a mistake because lets face it Blood elves are High elves and High elves are Blood Elves the name was given in honour of their lost, the only difference is political differences between the larger pool who joined the Horde and the less than 1% who joined the Alliance plus it would dilute the factions and blurr faction lines and Ion has already said the faction war isnt going anywhere as its integral to WoW.

The thing is, though.

What we refer to as High Elves here on the forums, will never, ever be playable on Alliance. We can refer to the Void Elves as High Elves, however, since technically Blood Elves are High Elves and thus Void Elves are also technically High Elves.

It is very likely that the Blood Elves will get blue eyes. There are examples of Blood Elves with blue eyes, and it is only rational inference that Blood Elves can get blue eyes again as a result of the Sunwell; this was made a fact the moment they could get golden eyes instead of green eyes.

Fundementally, the Blood Elves and High Elves are so incredibly alike that the only thing that really is different about them is their factions, that is not enough for a playable race.

Could it be a customization option for Void Elves, it could, should it? No, I don’t think so. We don’t see races with the exact same looks in terms of skin colour, shape, or otherwise on both factions (With the exception of the pandaren, but the lack of more races like the pandaren in current expansions leads me to believe, that WoW devs at large believes they were a mistake, and not just a single past dev) for the same reason we do not see humans in the Horde or orcs in the Alliance.

If factions are so meaningful as people claim for the sake of High Elves, then introducing more races that are on both factions makes factions meaningless. The Void Elves are already a step too far in my opinion, they should never have existed… Alliance should have gotten a cooler allied race in my opinion, with Alleria and the locus-guy Alliance could finally have gotten the ethereals in, creating a female model should not be too hard, and the lack of faces could be replaced by masks… that’d be fun (And since blizzard are far more fixated at the rule of cool over lore.)

And there are blood elves who would like blue eyes.

I don’t think they want to open that can of worms.

Ion did when he talked about the whole High Elf thing back in that infamous Q&A.

He basically “joked” with the idea of Blood Elves getting “blue contact-lenses” so… it might just become reality with more customization.

That, the ability to seperate eyecolours from faces, probably tattooes/markings.

I hope Night Elf men will get an eyebrow tab so that they can be smoothly shaven and still keep their eyebrows.

Gnomes too.

They already have blue eyes.

If you’re talking about High Elf skin then no you shouldn’t get 2 races in 1 race slot.

Or maybe… Just maybe… Give Alliance the damn race that have been dangled in front of them like a god damn carrot for 14 years.

You mean the murlocs?

that’s what i’ve been saying anytime someone was bringing up high elf allied race.

I said, giving them blood elves with blue eyes isn’t going to happen. They just look too similar to do so. There has to be more than eye color distinction.

as for blood elves getting blue eyes, I gotta say it’s a no for me.

Not that It’s a bad thing, but it doesn’t make sense.

Yes, they can make up a story like they did with void elves to justify it, but the whole story of the current blood elves of the horde was about the fact that they lived in quel’thalas and they draw their magic from the sunwell which is why they have green or golden eyes. They can mix other blood elves or high elves to the mix to justify this change, but it’ll be a cheap story for me. And i really don’t like these types of lore changes that are done so poorly, in order to satisfy fan requests .
