I agree. Specially after looking at how Amazigh peoples, from who the vulpera take inspiration, give double nature to night and day. I had my mind changed on the topic before the post, but I had copy-pasted an old thing I had already written before.
On the topic of race/class stuff, I’d personally like to see different takes on monks. At the moment it’s just non-pandaren characters roleplaying pandaren in RP
I dig the idea. Generally a big fan of finding clever ways to make an in-game class fitting for the roleplay of a race that isn’t typically associated with it.
I think the Orcish inspiration might suit Vulpera better than “Paladin”. Spirit Warrior? Sands Warrior?

My take on the Orcish paladins would be basically a “Lok’osh - Lok’tra”, song of the heart, song of the battle.
Blademasters, copy-pasting the old concept of the Spirit Champions from the Old RPG.
If you’d like, I can post my take on orc paladins. I made a rough idea of how they’d work.
By all means. I’d like to see such coming from more places.
Thank you.
When I looked at the concept, I wanted to completely avoid the concept of ‘green human’, so I looked to the ideals of the orcs and their clans, looking at what could explain their reasoning behind walking the path of a paladin.

Other ideas also formed such as these orcs being the ‘peacekeepers’, or ensuring that honor is met in battle to avoid the savagery of the past. I do not want them to sacrifice their warrior culture, but rather embrace it and reforge it into a culture where it is not only their strength but their mind and will being shown.
I on the other hand like the idea of Green Human-esque. I like to challenge the established social norms of the Silver Hand and to a lesser extent die hard elements of the old ways within the Argent Crusade.
The shock and either anger or awe from people when Ghormisa is able to say “Esarus thar no’Darador” and sincerely mean it is honestly worth it.
Or the reaction of a Silver Hand Paladin who holds a grudge against the Horde but witnesses Ghormisa weild the Light and it baffles them how an Orc can do so.
I’ve had some amazing interactions because of it.
I am also enamoured with an Orc rediscovering their heritage and learning. When she has leave she likes to track down those of her parent’s clan still alive or the Mag’har and listen to their tales of the Bleeding Hollow Clan.
The culture clash is great too! I’ve often thought of parralels between Orcish Warrior culture and how it can fit in to the ways of the Tyr’s Guard of which the Silver Hand was somewhat based upon…
It all makes Orcish RP fun for me!
Also I like the concept above too.
A very cool concept! I also greatly appreciate the lengths of detail you have provided to give it a better grounding.
I wish it all the luck in the world and hope to cross paths ICly with it one day.

Hello Beans!
I love your Gnome and how you mix the Alliance Light Legacy with the Gnomish Genius stereotypes. Very cool stuff! I thought many times of finding you IC too :>
More importantly, their Chicken soup recipe.
just because I’m against something that doesn’t match the world and its “rules” as we know it, is not a reason to “go play a classic game from 20 years ago with a much poorer world, graphic, activities, races and classes”.
It’s you who will stop blindly craving wow candy mounts, all classes for all classes and one-click play in raids that require no skills.
I’m against turning a great game into something that turns lore upside down and makes game completly noobfriendly.
Of course, % of gamers worldwide are mostly juveniles, that’s why dragonmen, pandas and squirrels appear as races
that’s why there are such activities of blizzard, because economic activity is supposed to bring profit
One is profit, the other is killing good lore and game. Just because we object is not a stupid reason to push us with a stick and say “go play classic”
And silly me, I thought it is because the genre is called Fantasy and humanity is basically a minority in WoW…
Better tell the Tolkien Estate too Beorn and his barn full of talking animals and all the other things n fantasy was a big mistake
Okay. They’ll still add the classes for all.
So…Vanilla?
How very sad for you.
my brother under elune you play a class that can turn into a cat while playing a race that can canonically turn invisible by standing still who pray to the moon and talk to trees
Suffer thine existence well.
One of these days the WoW community will realise Pandaren are older than 90% of the current playable races but that day is not today.
Edit: They were created during the WoW dnd RPG and ironically had a more detailed culture and lore than even most of the RPG races did. Gods, Metzen even gave them specifical racial weaponry and military tactics based on their culture in the RPG.
