Hello. I have a strange situation. Not sure if i should post it here or in support forum. Here i go.
I made a char on the Kingsfall SoM server to take part in the Soul of Iron challenge. I put “hc” at the end of my name. I was aware of the hardcore challenge (No grouping, no trading, no mailbox, no AH) but didnt really plan on going full hardcore. Just keeping the SoI buff on me is hc enough for me.
The problem im having is that i meet players that refuse to group with me, to trade me, to do anything with me because they feel they know how i should be playing, because of the hc in my name. Sure its not many players, but it has happened a few times and it is really lessening the enjoyment of the game for me.
I made a GM ticket and asked them to flag me for a rename, explaining my situation. They did agree its an unfortunate situation i have but they have limits on the power they have. Basically they cannot flag a character for rename. I tried asking people to report my name in-game but got a warning from a 2nd GM that im not allowed to do so.
This could all be solved if name change would work on Classic server. But you cannot.
Can a dev or any higher up please just flag my char “Benhc” of Kingsfall for a rename so i can enjoy the game to the fullest? Pretty please.

ps. i’m not asking for a rename because i named my character “hc” and had failed the challenge. My 48 rogue still has the SoI buff.
